Got her home and immediately went to work. Swapped the '14 Avalanche wheels for my '17+ Silverado wheels. Removed the roof rack, and gave her a good washing.

I crawled under it, that thing is cleaner than my 2012 Tahoe....
Those covers are factory covers that the old man this guy bought it from got it when it was new. Garage kept except for the last 6 yrs. It's absolutely insane lol. Wife hates it cause it's "old". I love it, don't love the color...
Undecided still on the roof rack. He built it himself and has had close to 1000lbs on it, so it's sturdy AF but to me it comes up short on the aesthetics end.
Just sent holding money on a 1998 Suburban.
166k on the clock. This is the cleanest OBS that I've ever seen short of a show truck. This guy daily drives this bad boy.
Plans are to remove that brush guard (hate those things), swap my wheels to it and drive it.
Did you ever get this figured out? I'm getting ready to purchase a 98 Suburban and the guy is having the same issue at 38-42 mph and 55-60 mph.
Wondering if a driveshaft is out of balance?
Well it took this shop 18 total weeks to fix, it still acts a little strange to me but maybe it’s in my head. So with recommendations from ATSG they ended up putting a pump and other required parts to make it work from a 6L90 trans and put them in my 6L80. It was an overall shit show. I...
They were used from late 09 up through 15 or 16. Heat is the big problem with these trannies, keep the heat away and pray. It’s a know bad part from GM, no good fix known, just a bandaid for another 100k

Yea the bad part, Chevy know about this problem and just ignores it. There is a company out there working on making a better design, mainly out of different material without a weld. I thought really how hard could it be to have one turned from billet aluminum and 1 solid piece?
126k on the clock. Talked to the guy last week and confirmed the weld point blew apart and got into the back of the pump and chewed it up. $2600 rebuild :(
I did ask him about that. He did say that is also a possibility and that the only way to tell for sure what happened was to rebuild it (with upgraded parts). The trans still hasn't been dropped because I was fighting with the dealership to fix it. He starts on it the first of next week.
I'm...
The drum I'm talking about is 1 of the two drums inside the transmission that contain the clutches. I know what the torque converter is lol.
The stealership decided that they would basically pay half (a little more) and gave me $1600 towards the rebuild of the transmission. Guess I should...
I just purchased my Tahoe 3 weeks ago (3/10/18). Everything seemed fine with the vehicle and we made the purchase. Three weeks later (3/31/18) the Tahoe quits moving and makes a terrible noise as if you are shaking around a can of nuts and bolts. It now sits at my mechanics shop and needs a...
I am having the same issue with my 2012 at 126k miles. Mine is to the point of just dead. Starts up, sounds like a can of nuts rattling around until it warms up, then put it in any gear and it won't move, just had to have it towed to a shop Saturday.
I ordered pads and rotors from Rock Auto but didn't get around to putting them on and then totaled my Tahoe yesterday.
