Just did a 4000 mile trip from Dallas to NYC. Couldn't image driving anything but my Tahoe. My kids are older (21 and 19) and they still find it comfortable. MY issue is i want to drive more than 12hrs but the Mrs isn't up for that, so we limit the drive to 10-12hrs max, each day.
FWIW, I have never, personally, met anyone who did a flush with an older vehicle that did not have tranny issues and needed some serious work (some needed a complete rebuild) performed within a year. Friends of mine, who are mechanics, think of a flush on an older vehicle as a cash cow since...
I have to say, I am guilty for filling them up until the fluid spills out and capping it off. Never had an issue but I probably should fill up to the manufacturers recommendation.
Mine has the same issue only if you open the windows while driving. If you keep them closed there is no issue at all. I've never had a vibration issue at any highway speed.
You were fairly close to me. I lived in Smithtown for a while before moving to KP for about 25 years. BTW, really nice truck.
I plasti-dipped my front end but it seemed to chip from being hit by small rocks on road trips. I never found away to prevent that from happening.
