What steering wheels could be reasonably easy swaps?

It'll still be ugly then. I want something other than an Escalade wheel. The whole airbag center section looks el cheapo to me.

Upholstery shop in MN - cover dash in leather

Wondering if anyone has any upholstery shop recommendations in MN that can cover my dash in leather? I'd add a few other trim items as well, but want to update the interior.

What steering wheels could be reasonably easy swaps?

Obviously I know I can look for a Platinum steering wheel for my Escalade, but would prefer something that feels more sporty. Ideally a ZL1 wheel or the like. A bonus would be real paddles that I can wire to the 6L80 for shifting. Two concerns. 1st is the physical will it bolt up and the...

    Escalade Heated/Cooled Seat Fix

Thanks for the post!! Does this kill both seats when it happens? Reason I ask is that my passenger seat works, driver does not. Switches both light up. Will a code reader pickup the communication problem if this is burnt? I'd love to find a way to trouble shoot mine....

Steering wheel swap with CTS-V? Or newer Escalade? or...

I've got a 2010 Escalade. Not a big fan of my steering wheel. Wondering if there are any "easy" swaps. Obviously the mechanical and electrical portions both need to be dealt with. I have deleted everything except the cruise control for steering wheel functions and have a USB to my computer...

    3.5 speakers in the rear

Even for the rear passengers it does nothing positive. Just screws up the frequency response in the whole truck. Best thing you can do is disconnect the rears and put that budget into improving the fronts.

    Tire time what's good?!?!?

To be fair I haven't...but no way I will either. I have ZERO traction in the rain and the ice will just be WAY worse. Of course I also live in MN where we have a nice coating of ice for much of the year and I firmly believe that snow tires are the best investment you can have in our weather...

    Tire time what's good?!?!?

You must have really low standards. They are even pretty awful in the rain. Zero siping, no way, no how those can do jack in the snow. This is what I'll be running, saving the 420s for the dry Of course, winter performance is extremely critical to me. When the weather gets really bad that...

The 420's will be TERRIBLE in the snow.

    Wheels: 20's to 22's - need help

Love the traction of the Nitto 420s, but they are LOUD. I'd check out Tony's section for deals on 22's as well. No reason to pay for OE stuff from GM: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forums/djm-belltech-replica-wheels.52/

who calls it a rig and why? why?

I call mine the big ugly....because it is big and ugly. It isn't a truck, it's not a rig, and normally some shitty driving soccer mom ***** has one but mine is fast and nasty unlike the stock that ***** drives.

    Thinking of buying a 170k yukon/escalade. DO or DON'T?

6spd is a lot more expensive to build too. Of course, my truck was "tired" at 100k so I decided a Whipple was in order. Woke it right up. I have no concerns that anything is going to fail, but also went over everything that possibly could and replaced it. Add up the price of all fluids...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I need snows. CK375, 44 or TBSS in Gloss Black I'm thinking. So what I did today was photoshop the 44's onto my truck. What do you think? (and yeah I know I suck at photoshop, but I tried)

Up to $125 off replica wheels!!! Big sale

Contemplating some myself. I need snows... Torn between CK375, 44's or TBSS in 22" Gloss Black.

    Black 44's on Escalade/Yukon/Tahoe - I need snow tires...

Really thinking of doing some black 44's for snows. Shown here with my crappy photoshop in a 24, and I'd buy 22s but wondering if anyone has any real pictures of a truck with them on. In particular if they are black. I want black for corrosion resistance and think they'll match up with the...

Keyless entry and Push Button Start?

What happens when you lose your keys? Just need a redundant backup like with any key/fob solution.

Keyless entry and Push Button Start?

That is exactly what it does. I want no fob at all, when that happens I'll do it right away.

Keyless entry and Push Button Start?

And it is pointless and useless. If you have to actually touch your phone, I have ZERO interest in it. I just want to have my phone in my pocket and my truck to know I am nearby and work. It is already possible with a case, but I am not sure I trust the companies that offer that atm. No...

Keyless entry and Push Button Start?

I'd love to do the same. My ML63 had it and I didn't think I could live without it. I am waiting for someone to release a system where your phone can be the RF key though. It'd be great to never even need to carry a key.

Help Newbie 22 or 24 inch wheels

Tested mine back to back on the same day. PLENTY of rubber. Pre-purchase I was scared by the ride, but pleasantly surprised. Of course with 4" of sidewall and enough interior volume to hold a rather large "air spring" I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. Tony posted weights. The TBSS...

Help Newbie 22 or 24 inch wheels

I couldn't disagree more. 24s and lowered isn't that much stiffer than 22s and lowered. Generally it just feels better as the tires don't roll in the corners. I will still say profile wise I think 23s would be optimal but the sidewall on a 305/35 is a hell of a lot more absorbent to road...
