P1518 Code, Engine WON'T SHUT OFF!
Grimes, from the research I was able to do, this problem appears to have two primary causes: the throttle body connector/wiring, and the throttle body ground (G103). I have to admit, though, few of the instances reported had the same set of symptoms as mine! Both of these potential culprits...- monomoit

P1518 Code, Engine WON'T SHUT OFF!
Well, sorry that there were no responses to this, BUT - problem solved! Ground connection G103, behind the passenger side cylinder head, was not even finger tight! The mechanic who installed the motor simply forgot to torque it. Given how loose it was, I'm astounded that the truck EVER ran. But...- monomoit

Greetings all, my first post here, but it should be an interesting one... I have a 2003 Yukon XL, 106,000 miles, that just had a replacement engine installed (of unknown mileage).
