I apologize if this has been started somewhere else, but I couldn't find it when I searched. I recently happened upon a free 6.0L LQ4. Solid Axle Conversion
I'm planning on making the same swap soon. I have my cost figured under $1,000 though. You can get axles from a pull-a-part for $85 each regardless of what they are. That should bring your cost WAY down if you feel like searching a bit.- UnderConstruction
