Swapped air to coil suspension, still error message

My local tire/suspension shop talked me into swapping out the ride-leveling air suspension on my '07 Denali XL. The swap went well and I enjoy the ride just fine. However, their attempts to override the sensors has been ongoing for some time now. Yesterday, they just sort of gave up. Said...

    **Engine Failure** Replacement Options?

Seems this was a fluke and those engines have a generally good expected lifespan. The mechanic who is doing my work has one in a truck he drives that has 400K+ miles on it.

    **Engine Failure** Replacement Options?

I went with a low-mileage "recycled" engine as opposed to a remanufactured one. Picked an extended warranty for a few more bucks. It's still being installed. Total estimate is <$4K. I live in Bradley County (Cleveland) and work in McMinn County (Athens). Private mechanic in McMinn is doing...

    **Engine Failure** Replacement Options?

Certainly has been a live-and-learn experience... If you guys had been around when the decisions were being made on the fly, maybe stuff would have turned out different. I had no real choice at the time but to go along with the consensus of 4 different mechanics, one of which who had nothing...

07 Denali: where's the flasher relay?

Well crap. What a shame... I guess that'll be another job for another day. Or I'll just end up doing the Escalade tail swap.

07 Denali: where's the flasher relay?

I bought the bulbs at AutoZone (Sylvania/Zevo) but I didn't see anything on them regarding Can-Bus, so I imagine they are not. I've asked around and have gotten different solutions. The most common was the need for resistors...but I'm going to try to track down Can-Bus bulbs first before...

    **Engine Failure** Replacement Options?

***UPDATE Thanks David. As an update...as mentioned above, we pulled the vehicle immediately away from the dealership based on their price quote. Seemed suspicious, so took it to the "family mechanic". He spent some time with it, confirmed the blown motor and quoted a much lower price...but...

    **Engine Failure** Replacement Options?

I'm not certain. It all happened while I was out of town. My wife talked to the mechanics. All three, she said, just sort of shook their heads as if they were giving her news of a family member passing away... The last one (where the car is now) texted me, "the motor is toast...definitely...

    **Engine Failure** Replacement Options?

Wife was driving home on the interstate, gets an error message regarding Stabili-track. Car isn't running or handling any different but she makes her way over toward the shoulder to stop and take inventory. Before she gets to the roadside, she hears/feels a loud "clunk", and the motor begins...

    My DIY weekend adventure

Resurrecting this old thread, but this is good advice. I do have rear air and the plug access on that side was a bear. Took the 4 remaining plugs and wires to the dealership and had them do it for me, as time was not on my side and I couldn't afford to mess things up as I prepared for an...

    07 Denali Throttle Position Sensor

Mine's throwing a code and I can't find a write-up or video on how to change it on this specific vehicle. Anyone got a link?

Haven't tried it since the switch... Should I expect a problem?

07 Denali: where's the flasher relay?

Whoa...seriously? Then what's this LED flasher module I just bought for?

07 Denali: where's the flasher relay?

I just switched all the tail lights to LED (brake, flasher, reverse) All is well except the flashers...fast-flashing. I bought a new LED flasher module, but can't find the original to replace it. Every other GM or Jeep I've had was just under the steering wheel/dash...but I have yet to locate...

    My DIY weekend adventure

Finally had a "free" weekend, and lots of stuff on tap for my '07 XL Denali pulled the driver side door panel and changed both the interior and exterior door handles had pulled the console door, bought a replacement leather cover, had it applied by a pro and I reinstalled it driver-side...

Pics of LED interior lights (no more yellow!)

Perfect...thanks! I know swapping signals often requires an alteration since the sensors notice the low-power pull. Great to know I can just swap bulbs. Anybody got a list of bulbs? (fearing I may miss one or more in the wholesale swap attempt)

Pics of LED interior lights (no more yellow!)

Was this switchover a straight bulb change, or did you have to alter the wiring due to the low pull of the LED's?

O7 Denali passenger grab handle bolt stripped

One of my teenagers was evidently a bit aggressive in using the passenger grab handle to exit the vehicle. The upper bolt is stripped out. Any recommendations on how to remedy this without disassembling the A pillar?

    Door Arm Rest Replacement

Very nice..and thanks for the link! Still curious, though...if there's a resource out there I haven't located to just buy the arm rest pad...?

    07 Denali hitch cover

As a follow-up... The old clips snapped out with a little effort and snapped into the new one easier. The bigger issue was the fit of the new cover. The contour doesn't match the vehicle bumper and requires some "wedging" to get the tabs to get in. Even then, it bows out on the corners and...

    Door Arm Rest Replacement

My '07 Denali is showing some common wear/tear issues now that I've passed 120K miles. Of particular concern today is the drivers side door arm rest, which is cracking. Online parts searches seem to imply that I have to replace the entire interior door panel to replace the arm rest pad. Seems...
