Banks ram air super scoop??
Today I had some time and started installing the kit. Got everything under the hood done and the inner wheel well removed and most of the scoop prepped. My buddy has the same setup (minus the scoop) on his 09 Silverado with the results he said he really liked. So I went with first hand results I guess lol- blk450er

No I haven't ordered the scoop. I ordered the intake and it should be here within a few days - about a week. It looks like it would be cut out of the air dam/deflector below the bumper. At least it's that way on a pic of a pickup that I seen. I may just get it and say screw it.- blk450er

I ordered the banks intake but didn't pull the trigger on the scoop. Curious if anyone has used or know of anyone that has the super scoop if it's worth it?- blk450er

Which spark plug wires?
I just picked up a set of E3 plugs for my 2011 5.3. Just wondering which plug wires would match up good with the plugs? I've heard that msd is complete junk. Thought about just oem- blk450er

Yeah I thought it would be slick to see inside it to make emptying it easier. Oh well, looks clean and neat under the hood. I'm pleased.- blk450er

That is the clear can. I personally talked to them at catchcans.com while I was ordering to see if the "clear" can was actually clear and he said no. It's an alum can clear coated. Raw is just that, raw alum unfinished so the buyer can powder coat/paint it to their own liking. Btw, from start to...- blk450er

NorCal ss, could you tell me how the hard plastic tube comes off of the PVC valve and off of the fitting on the valve cover? Does it just slip over a barbed fitting? I don't want to just start yanking on it if there is a specific way to get it off. Thanks- blk450er

NorCal, do you have a vid of just cruising? We don't rev/race a lot or even have it in high rpms much. That may give me a better idea on how loud it is. Also would my 5.3 sound very different than the 6.2?- blk450er
