The old alt was making the bearing noise. I installed the replacement and the light came on. Re-installed the orig. and noise was back, but no light. I got the replacement a few days later and the box was near mutilated. Same light on issue with it. Went to Adv. Auto, friend works there...- Patd4230

Hi all. I have a question regarding my Alternator. I have a 2000 Yuk XL/1500 4wd. I bought it used in Sep and it has 174,000 mi. The Alternator is making bearing noise and not charging to full capacity I noticed. The RPO code is KG8 (130 Amp Alt), however, it has a 105 amp currently...- Patd4230
