BTW, forgot to add that since Lew raised the idle rpm, the slight vibration the truck had at idle when in gear is also gone. At just over 100K it does need plugs, too, and those are on the to-do-list. And of course I will also get a set of new wires since I don't think I've ever been able to get...
Finally also got around to do the data logging for my DiabLew tune on Sunday. Lew did great job turning the files around in less than 24 hours, so loaded them yesterday.
Such a big difference in the way the truck behaves! Money well spent once again.
First oil change on my wife's new-to-her Suburban. Catch can was surprisingly full and had crap that had wet almost peanut butter like consistency at the bottom. The can is much smaller than the Elite Engineering can I had in the old one, so I need to remember to check it a bit more often. All...
All part of the package. After getting the actual tune and driving a couple hundred miles, you will do WOT logs and based on those Lew will do some tweaks to the tune if needed.
Just installed the canned 87 octane tune and disabled AFM. Gotta drive a couple hundred miles, then do some logging and send to Lew for the actual tune.
I don't mind it too much. Been here 25 years now. It's only a few days here and there in a year, sometimes none. Plus, we'll already be in the 60s come this weekend.
Been having a bit of Icemageddon here in north Texas for a few days. :banghead: Below is from last night. There’s about 1/2-1” of solid ice on the thing.
Looks like somebody REALLY wants a burnt carcass of a Suburban. Sure, there's some money in the engine and tranny, maybe headlights and front wheels and such, but damn...

What kind of issues would those be? More exception than the rule, maybe?
Granted, I've spent more time in the pickup forums in the last couple of years and haven't been following here too closely. Don't think I've seen anybody having any issues with thier pickups, so that's why I'm curious. I...
Thank you for the offer. We're good now that we got to a really nice long term rental house we found ourselves two weeks ago. Still working on lots details with the insurance company and have no idea yet as to what they want to do with it. Hope to hear about the options soon. We're not too much...
Bought a replacement for the burnt carcass that now sits at Copart waiting to be snatched by some eager buyer.
It's a 2017 that has just turned over 100K. I think wife hit 100100 miles on the drive back home. Dealer listed it as LS and I almost didn't look at the ad online. Thought...
Thanks, guys!
Finally Copart picked the Suburban carcass up after I called the adjusted at the ins. co. and gave him a polite earful on the situation. Didn't even have to go and check since while I was running some other errands, a flatbed wrecker with it on the bed went the other direction...
Not a whole lot to say… Pics probably say it all. Our house burned on Christmas Eve and the Suburban also caught the flames and got a bit hot. Too bad my Ring cameras were already out when I drove it from the driveway to the street with the ass end on fire. :flamingdevil: My wife wasn’t too...

Flickering Morimoto episode is finally over and the the wife can finally see and be seen. And now I have to figure out what I need to with the OEM HIDs on my Silverado to make them better. LOL! :headbang:
Yup, lows and fogs. And I agree, it pretty much puts the OEM HIDs in my Silverado to shame too. Even with fogs. I mean, they're not too bad, but this sure gives another dimension on how things could be.
