I still linger on the forums but I'm mostly on the coloradofans forums these days. The ZR2 is an absolute dream, it's an unbelievable fun and capable truck. I do miss a mechanical throttle and how much simpler the Tahoe is.
The hoe lives at my parents now since I'm in the bay area and don't...
little bit of rubbing on the front when the wheels when they were turned all the way and I was backing up. Now the tires are worn down a bit and they dont rub at all. I'll be moving to 35's next with a proper coil over lilft as soon as possible though so my goal is to clear 35x12.5's with no rubbing
Its the perfect height but you end up with a crap CV angle, very stressed steering system, and you have basically no downtravel which makes the ride sort of harsh. Also, depending on how you crank your keys, you might run out of camber and not be able to get it aligned perfectly and your ball...
I've seen some but none the right size so far. One option is to buy some larger than I need and put them on a disk sander and keep them all in check with a digital caliper

Im looking to find a happy medium between drive shaft angle and CV angle. The drive shaft is stil lstock angle and can go down a bit which wouldnt hurt it but would provide a hell of a lot of relief for the CV's. Need to find an optimal compromise and then a good way to drop it. Any suggestions...
Nah I never ended up doing them. I'm waiting to do a whole front end overhaul with coil overs, longer UCA's, new CV's, and a slight front diff drop to keep my CV angle from being so miserable. Waiting to get my savings account back up from bein unemployed the last few months.
Damn this thread is interesting, seriously good stuff here thank you for posting.
I'm still trying to do coilovers up front but I need some new UCA's first and I don't know who the hell to get them from. Im thinking Cognito or have the guy who did my bumpers make them. I'm probably gonna need...
So I bought a superchips tuner for my rig along with a CAI over the holiday season.
I installed the CAI and then tuned. The problem is, I don't notice much of a difference. I understand you cant get the same sort of 'gains' from a pre-packaged tune as you can with something from like Black...
Changed my oil.
Also went to get my brake and light inspection for re-registration and I'm pissed because they can't sign off on it while the abs/parking brake light are on. They come on and stay on all the time and have been doing so for the last 75k miles. No one definitively knows why it...
I bought them from a Chinese company who I buy lighting from. Their products are usually super great but I wasn't particularly impressed with these lighting tabs. But they were only $8 a pair. Shipping from China direct is expensive so 3 pairs and shipping and PayPal fees it was $50. Still a...
I thought about it but I'd probably end up bashing it on rocks and losing it. Im gonna have a skid plate fabricated that goes from the winch plate down to the frame to cover up that big gap that exposes the pitman arm and steering assembly and stuff so maybe I can get away with putting it on the...
My tube mount light tabs came in the mail so I painted them with the same semigloss black enamel as my new bumper and cleaned up my LED fogs and mounted them in the new bumper. I missed them badly the last few weeks so I'm glad they're back on the rig. I need to find a clean solution for my...
Welded and gusseted to the frame. That's the only wait they can actually impact and support the whole weight of the vehicle and not bend.

Well, I finally got my rig back from the fabrication shop since I got wrecked and it was totaled a few months back. Now I'm rocking some new custom front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, and a 9500lb winch!
Ill start.
Recently took the GF to Hollister Hills for a bit of casual wheeling. Also drove down the pacific coast highway near Big Sur.
