    118k Miles...transmission gone...

Well, this was our first Sub/Yukon XL. I guess if I had known and been prepared for the possibility... But it had been otherwise trouble-free car. And went from zero issues to hardly drivable in 3 days. That's the part that gets me.

    118k Miles...transmission gone...

Yeah, we got a good trade in out of them. That's the only reason I was willing to do it vs. pay for a new transmission.

    118k Miles...transmission gone...

It's not bad for regular day to day. It tows 5k lbs. It feels punchier off the line than it's hp/torque rating. Plus it's got about the best 3rd row of anything not full-size like the Yukon XL/Suburban. Maybe we're getting out of the frying pan and into the fire. But I was really gun-shy on...

    118k Miles...transmission gone...

It took them 3 days to figure it out so I don't doubt there being a misdiagnosis. We went and bought a new VW Atlas and the VW dealer agreed to take the Yukon XL on trade sight unseen. They're picking it up from the GMC dealer today.

    118k Miles...transmission gone...

    Yukon SLT HID upgrade question

Man, gotcha. I guess I had assumed that since on the 2015s the projector assembly appears superficially the same, that everything would be would be relatively plug and play. Thanks for the help! ---------- Post added at 01:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:33 PM ---------- So...

    Yukon SLT HID upgrade question

Lol, ok that's what I wanted to know. I just hate the look of aftermarket HIDs when done wrong. If I do it that way, I want it to look as stock as possible. So what's the diff between our lenses and the Denalis?

    Yukon SLT HID upgrade question

Thanks and I appreciate the links but what I was asking is WHY is everyone going aftermarket? I have read those threads and it seems like a lot of trial and error and I see tacked on parts under the hood. I'm just wondering if the OEM Denali parts can be purchased or why not?:)

    Yukon SLT HID upgrade question

Hi everyone. This is my first post so forgive me if this has been asked. I got my wife a 2015 Yukon XL SLT w/ 4wd and tow package when they were just getting them on the lot. Needless to say, I probably paid what a similarly equipped Denali is going out the door for now. I don't regret not...
