    2019 Tahoe Premier Towing Capacity

Yes, the 6.2L L86 in 2018 only uses the GM Hydra-Magic 10L80-10spd trans with 4.70:1 gearing in 1st gear and much less of a spread between gears along with a lot more torque of the 6.2L, they can use a taller differential gearing. GM 10-Speed 10L80 vs. 8-speed Hydra-Matic Transmissions - Gear...

    2019 Tahoe Premier Towing Capacity

Total weight of the rig matters too for cooling capacity of the engine and trans, along with braking capacity, especially if you’re towing over grades.

    2023 Cadillac Escalade V

Sounds like a good time for GM to roll out a Tahoe SS with that 682 HP / 653 Lb-Ft Torque Supercharged 6.2L engine! Then maybe I'll consider trading in my 2018 RST.. I definitely won't spend $150k on an Escalade V.

    Rental Tahoe unlimited miles?

Back in 2015, I rented a 2015 Tahoe LT 4x4 in Dallas for a hunting trip. I flew home after that trip and bought my first Tahoe. I when I travel, I rent vehicles through Costco Travel. Beware...ALL the main rental car companies will quote you on a Full Size or Luxury SUV but in the fine print...

28.3 MPG on a recent trip in my 2018 Tahoe RST 6.2L 4x4

Tire pressure isn't a universal setting for all tires and vehicles. The Tahoe's RST's magnetic suspension rides firm and flat hard in turns, these 22" tires like that pressure with the weight. They grip, corner, and wear perfectly. I had the same tires, except they were a different size, 20"...

28.3 MPG on a recent trip in my 2018 Tahoe RST 6.2L 4x4

Nope, They've got over 32k miles on them, only look about half worn, even wear across the treads on all 4 tires. Plus about 5k miles flat towing behind my RV. I've rotated them every 10k miles. The stock Bridgestone tires were worn out at 33k miles, plus about 2k flat tow miles.

    Fuel range dramatic change

My Hummer H2 is stock, about 110k miles on the odo, I'm the original owner. It was my wire's daily driver/neighborhood school bus for about 8 years, then moved to Arizona, and has been an un-official Off-Road rescue for my neighbors Jeeps, trucks, and ATV/UTVs that get stuck. It's a great...

    2018 Tahoe RST brakes

I have 64k mostly highway miles on my RST with Brembo brakes, about still look to have at least 1/2 the meat still on the pads, with very minimal wear on the rotors. They squeak occasionally, as do my other vehicles with high performance brakes.

    Fuel range dramatic change

My 2005 Hummer H2 always shows about the same after every fill-up, reading 330-340 miles, whether I fill up in California, Arizona, or Nevada... It gets about 10.5 mpg city and hwy and has a 32 gallon fuel tank.. That's too painful to drive often these days.. LOL!.. or should I "Cry Out Loud" I...

28.3 MPG on a recent trip in my 2018 Tahoe RST 6.2L 4x4

Yes it is, and seems more effective in my 2018, with a lot more torque than in my 2015. In the 2015, V4 mode only engaged rarely at highway speeds. I find the other vehicle's "auto stop" feature, when the engine shuts off when automatically when you stop, and restarts when you let off the...

2022 Yukon Denali 6.2: beat my all-time high MPG!

There's a lot of variation in 6.2L equipped Tahoes/Yukons/Escalades. Mine is the 2018 Tahoe Premier RST has the L86 4x4 with the 10-Speed trans and has V8 and V4 mode. Escalades and Danali's with the same powertrain are heavier, the 2021-22 of all varieties are even heavier, but have multiple...

28.3 MPG on a recent trip in my 2018 Tahoe RST 6.2L 4x4

On a recent solo trip from Vegas to Rancho Cucamonga I got over 28mpg over a 214 mile trip. I snapped the below photo as I was exiting the highway. I had the cruise set to 74mph most of the way, until I got on the Cajon pass, then set to 68 coming down the mountain to allow the engine braking in...

    Fuel range dramatic change

Jeff is exactly right. I regularly drive between LA and Vegas. When I fill up after a long highway drive, I see my range go up and sometimes over 600 miles. When I fill up after towing or hard stop and go driving the range shows in the 380-420 mile range.

2018 Tahoe RST AC Not working (yes another thread, but different story)

Man, that sucks, I've been there, dealing with a rare, under documented problem on a vehicle. I haven't had any issues with my 2018 RST yet. I've got about 64k miles now. There is a recall that may include your Tahoe, if it was manufactured in 2017...

    Hypertech Settings

I bought the Hypertech Max Energy 2.0 for my first Tahoe, a 2015 5.3L 4x4. I had my settings like yours, with exception to the the Torque Converter setting, which I kept stock. When I traded in my 2015 on a 2018 6.2L Tahoe 4x4, Hypertech sent me a firmware update custom for the 6.2L Tahoe...

    2018 6.2L 10speed Performance Programmer Options?

Can anyone recommend a performance programmer for my 2018 6.2L 10spd? I had a Hypertech 49state programmer for my 2015, made a big difference in throttle response and shift firmness. I'm hoping to find one for my 2018 6.2L.
