2002 Yukon XL - Can a rear axle from a 2000 bolt on?
:Good or Bad: Its stock for the most part but nothing like the video's I've watched up on youtube for the 8.6 rear end. When trying to remove the axles, there is a 10mm bolt that is taken out then the pin slides out. There is a clutch of some sort in there or what I suspected was a locker...- mikesta

Hmm...think I found a locker in my rear and think its 4.11's... not sure though...- mikesta

2002 Yukon XL - Can a rear axle from a 2000 bolt on?
Sorry, newb to this forum. My bearings went out in my 2002 rear axle, gears are fine but I don't have the time or knowledge to rebuild that rear axle. YET. I located a parts rig 2000 that I can drive here and swap the rear axle housing into this 2002. Is it plug and play?- mikesta
