I'll post a pic later, but right now it's stock front and I put 2wd springs in the rear so it's close to leveled. The z71 springs had a but too much rake for my preference.
Dropped it off for a complete suspension refresh with Moog upgrades. Front upper & lower control arms with ball joints, inner & outer tie rods, rear upper & lower control arms. Time to put another 100k on the odometer.
Replaced water pump, tensioner & idler pulleys, and belt. Ordered electric fans and powermaster 220A (150 @ idle) alternator...those things aren’t cheap
I'd take the larger motor in a heartbeat, but I'm not disappointed with the towing power of the LM7. My dad has a 2001 2500HD Silverado for towing, so I've got a decent grasp on the power difference it would make. I'm just trying to make the best of what I've got.
I've got all the side moldings to make the conversion complete, but still need the rear bumper and side steps. I wouldn't feel terrible about putting a Denali badge on it since it was a fully loaded SLT model. I actually consider the drivetrain better than a Denali since I have the option of...
Everyone has different luck...I'm currently at 238k. It has been used to tow boats trough the mountains of NC, tractors to farms, loads of lumber and tile when remodeling houses, and even a broken-down BMW for a 3 hour lift. Bone stock and never had the fluid changed...actually I may drain the...
I've heard of some issues with the front diff (or something in the front end) of the AWD systems on Denalis, but if everything is fully functional...DENALI ALL DAY. Can't beat the looks of a Denali in the NBS.
As you can see in my profile pic, I'm driving a Yukon with a modded-to-Denali...
I can't say that I'll never own another one, but I'm definitely looking at more reliable brands like Lexus a little more closely. My mom's 2009 RX350 has 249k and never a problem. I'd take an is350 in a heartbeat.
Been driving the family's spare 2008 328i due to longer commutes...and in typical BMW/Mercedes fashion (personal experience with both), they're amazing until they don't work. Dealer wants $1,900 to replace oil filter gasket, 2 radiator hoses and replace radiator. Towing home to see what a...
Out of curiosity, how was the ride before replacing tie rods and hub? My steering randomly becomes very light and difficult to keep in a straight line. I feel like tie rods may need to be replaced soon on mine since the dealership said my EVO sensor was working fine.
I have no idea, it just looks like a connector that feeds the halo...I haven't done much research on it since school has picked back up. I probably won't mess with it again until summertime. I definitely would like the low beam to be brighter, but it's serviceable for now.
I didn't realize/wasn't paying proper attention when I ordered and found out the low beam halo doesn't have a regular bulb. I tried to install the LEDs into my fog assembly, but the base was too large. They're currently just sitting in the garage.
