I'm new to this thread but here is what ive learned being a 1997 C1500 Suburban owner and mechanic....you can only use 1995 for 1995, 1996-97 for 1996-97, and only 1998 for 1998.....Also yes the 1999 and newer years will fit but the PCM won't operate those models....confusing yessss makes you...- tonheib350
