Ok...I bled all the air from the rear shocks...re installed the hoses...heard the pump run and the ride height is still the same. The rear of the truck is still easy to bounce up and down standing on the trailer hitch. I don't understand why there is no dampening action from the shocks. I guess...
2016 Yukon with optional Air Leveling/Trailer Package. I just spent a week in Dallas and have to say...you guys in Dallas/Plano need to spend some $$$$ on road maintenance/re-surfacing. Frisco wasn't bad at all but once you drop South of Legacy on Preston or most side streets, the roads are...
So the guys at O'Riley in Plano hooked me up with the Sylvania H11 LED Kit...both sides $100...5 year warranty...5 minute change out on the drivers side
We are on Christmas vacation in the Plano Dallas area.Anyone know where I can go to have my headlights serviced....one side stopped working on the way from Florida.
Thanks
So...I guess it's as simple as buying a stick of 10-24 ATR...cut it to make 2: pieces 2 3/4", remove the rods I have on the truck now, take the ends off...put them on the new shorter rods...re install and I'm done.
I agree and have used Arnott on an Escalade with good results. I'm wondering if there is a setting or adjustment that I can manually override the air pressure being delivered to the rear shocks when there is no substantial load on them. It seems that there is too much air in them and that may be...
Our 2016 Yukon with the auto leveling towing package option may need new rear shocks. The truck had 56K miles now and n a 500 mile road trip yesterday I noticed excessive rear end bouncing as if there was little or no shock dampening at all.
Has anyone else experienced this with this option...
Our 2016 Yukon came OEM with Continental 275/55 -20's. We went to the Goodyear Eagle GS-2 in the same size and I could bet you the tread on the Eagles are at least 1.5" wider than the Continentals were...much better ride and handling also. We have 22K miles on a set of 4 now with 9/32 tread...
OK...Good Call. Took it in to the Tire Store where I bought the Tires 18 months and 22K miles ago. Here is what it looked like inside. "Widow Maker" !! They gave me 80% credit on the Road Hazard Warranty.
You can actually see where the inner liner was starting to seperate from the carcass !!
I saw this in the sidewall of the right front tire...Goodyear LS-2, on my 2016 Yukon. Tire has about 20K miles....all 4: are wearing well...but this is the oly tire that looks like this.
Should I take it in or am I being paranoid?
OK...got it repaired at local GM Dealer...no charge...took about 3 hours. FYI...I never got a letter or any info on this...and I am the original owner !!
My 2016 Yukon A/C stopped cooling suddenly yesterday. I thought to myself that this is a bit odd with less than 50K miles so I did a bit of research which included calling GM customer service. Seems that there is an issue with the A/C condensers cracking and leaking down prematurely and will...
Get the SLE 5.3 with Max Tow 3.42 gears and leveling rear suspension. I pull a 7500# 26 ft with 750#~800# tongue weight Formula boat with mine and it is great. Add a Katzkin leather upgrade kit and you will be in for about $50K A-Z.
I have mine tuned with a Diablo tune for 93 octane...my Yukon...
I like the idea of having the "Auto Level" feature with our 2016 Yukon SLE. Now with 46K miles I have noticed the rear shocks don't control the rebound on dips in some roadways. Is there a better shock than the OEM replacement that still offers load leveling as well as better ride control ...
One additional addition to this story....GMC Truck Division sent me a $100 service/repair voucher to be used for future required maintenance or repairs.
Honestly....I don't think I have ever been treated as well as I have with this issue by any other manufacturer or dealer.
OK...remember the old expression " The pen is mightier than the sword" ? Soooo...while I was waiting in the "Customer's Lounge"...I called GM Customer Service and explained to them what was going on. The young lady with GM put me on hold for a few minutes while she verified my VIN and odometer...
I have suddenly experienced occasional "Dead Pedal" at low speeds and when stopped on a hill either headed up or down an incline. I did a bit of research and learned that there is a TSB for 2015~2017 Full Size GM Suv's that address this condition. Seems that the fix requires replacing the vacuum...
OK...I went with the Permatex product:
...cost about $15 at Advanced Auto...followed instructions...let it dry 24 hours...and hooked it back up. Works as advertised.
Anyone know of a way to re attach this wire so it will work and stay in place? I am out of "Bumper to Bumper" warranty so I don't want to go to the dealer if I can avoid it.
Thanks in advance.
