    The boat is a 29 foot Velocity VR 1. A go fast style. It sits fairly high has a small cabin. You can google it and get an idea.     Thanks everyone. Just got back. Trip was about 850 miles. With mostly 4 lane roads. Much of it hilly. Drove, mostly on cruise at 68 while towing boat. Coming home, dead head at 73 mph.     I have approximately 18,000 miles on my Suburban with the Duramax. I love this engine. Hauls my 6,000# boat with no problem and is also great on a road trip. I have a heavy foot but still gets 27+ mpg. If I drive the speed lit I get 29/30 mpg. As far as passing... usually no problem although...

    Just changed my oil and filter. Oil was somewhere around $29 per 5 Qts, Mobil 1 and $11 for Filter. Bought 2 , 5 qt containers. Took about 20 minutes of my labor and I know it was done right! Padraig
