It's kind of a judgement call. Some people like it and some not so much?? Or 2004 Denali has it and it's very different from I'm used to. Lowered coils with coil overs and stiff spring rates. I'm used to crawling sideways over "speed bumps" and usually scream in horror if I hit an unnoticed...
Yeah ... I'm new these but if the TC, is kicking in on bumps and stuff?? Something is just not right??
By and large with "TC" if everything is functioning properly ... you should not even know it's there??? On one occasion when making a hard left turn ... I saw the light flash??? But I tend to...
I think "something is off on yours??" On or 2004 Denali I can pretty much ignore speed bumps at will! A new thing for me as with all my cars I have to crawl sideways over them!
Is the DIC throwing any codes??? And I've not looked but most likely there are sensors and stuff that maybe loose or...
Oh ... I've not seen that?? And you have a touch screen HU also??? OK for you, yes that unit would be "Plug and Play" and would get audio from your phone without issue.
You could ask them if there are "Aux" jacks on the rear also?? If there are and your "Touch Screen Display" has aux jacks in...
Hey the link worked this time! :)
Hmmm it sounds like you have a Single Din Unit ... CD only and that's a Double Din. So if that's the case you'd need other OEM stuff to make it fit properly. And on that unit (the link) Pretty sure they can do that because they tie into the AM/FM circuitry?? It...
That link did not work for me?? But .. Windows 10 did an update ... and "now" I'm finding lots of crap that niolonger works???
But as regards "adding" an "Aux" input?? Yes it can be done. Adding an "Aux" input is done on AM tube radios from the 40's all the time by a "handful" of restorers...
On point number four ... a couple of options, to get your phone in there in there ... the XM input ,works for "Audio" and is certainly the easiest as you don't have to remove the head unit.
If you want to access video phone functions then you have to access the input on the rear of the head...
It was merely an "idea" not a "mandate." OP said did not want a junk yard harness and "OEM" is expensive (I would imagine??)
Might not be the problem anyway but it would eliminate one variable at little cost. :)
Hmm sounds like a pretty tight parking space??
Most likely the preponderance of "no's" are from members who tend to drive/corner hard??? Locally you can try and find a "Performance Shop" and ask those guys about wheel spacers. :)
eah there is that ... I was speaking in reference to going down not up. An "assumption" on part ... my bad.
Lifted trucks do "funny things with wheels" not a "tucked" wheel kinda thing. Some of us go up and some go down ... I have no idea what a "proper back spacing" is on a lifted truck???
Yeah ... Car Guy but ... not to fast on the car! Broken hip ... most likely that's gonna time some time to heal??
But if you got some wrench turning buddies??? Beer or Bourbon and it's all hands on deck. You could ... supervise! I'd be there! :)
Ah well ...wither or not "I" can solder ... is "immaterial??" I stated my "preference" and when you "Claimed I was wrong and stated your preference as fact ... I merely pointed out, "MY" preference and "EXPLAINED" why. And in doing so pointed out ... that there is "NO Consensus" on "Crimp vs...
OMG, man I am so sorry!! The down side of pouring Blood Sweat and $$$$ into a vehical and then actually driving them on the street. Glad you were able to "Walk Away" hmmm ... at the time. A broken hip man that has to suck. Take Care. :(
Sigh ... making Lemonade out of Lemons ... do you think...
Well 10 years or so building "Matching Net Works for "RF Generators" soldered connections but they don't move as such "Tuning Caps" have a limited range of motion. So yeah I know how to "Solder" also. :)
I merely took "accept on" to your flat out declaration stated as fact?? And gave my...
I have no reason to doubt you.
Still "Motec" for one recommends "Crimped" connections but hey ... one could Solder, Crimp and Heat Shrink, that should produce a sound connection. :)
Yes ... that would be a "Proper Off Set." But ... sigh, to give some ground "usually" q 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch spacer "should not be a issue??" Still nothing I'd use but there is that. :)
LOL ... "Always" better ... that's "interesting??? Pretty much "millions of engineers ... would disagree with that "claim??"
As would most makers of "Standalone Engine Management Systems" most of whom recommend "Crimped" connections with "Proper Tools."
The "Aircraft" industry use "Miles" of...
LOL ... I think I can "expand" on this a little bit. But I agree with "NO." :)
In general if you need to turn corners "Wheel Spacers" are not a good idea. They can throw off steering geometry and affect wheel bearing life. Details are in points 3 and 4 here.:
