New belt, new tensioner assembly, new idler pulley and still getting the sound smdh. Gonna go ahead and throw another $48 and replace the AC belt and tensioner because why not at this point. Going in for oil change next week so maybe my mechanic can identify it if the AC belt and tensioner...
I did about an hour ago, but couldn't really pin point if anything sounded abnormal. I didn't really spend much time as I was on my way out and it was dark but gonna try to spend more time on tomorrow with some daylight as I couldn't get to the pullies on the bottom/front of the engine.

Also wanted to mention that If you have ever had a bad stereo hook up and gotten that alternator whine sound where the pitch of the sound changes with RPMs that's kinda what I also hear in the driver seat at the same time im getting the noise from the engine bay... however no charging issues or...
No worries man! the dressing was only like 3 bucks and it's something I would of tried anyway as I was checking options off the list... I truly appreciate the input from everyone, I got the stethoscope but it's been raining the last two days but it's my first thing on my to do list tomorrow...
I'll give that a try with the tensioner seems pretty straightforward, however the sound does not seem to start until the engine gets warm before that it sounds normal. Would the tensioner be affected by cold morning weather as this just recently started happening as the temps started to drop...
tried the belt dressing stuff as I had to run to the store anyway and they had it, did not help in fact on top of the sound I got a bunch of squealing for about 5 miles. gonna run to harbour freight and grab one of the stethoscopes as I couldn't pin point it using a screwdriver, Water Pump was...
I noticed yesterday as well that when I first started the engine I did not hear the sound as I went out to spray water on the belt to test it, but after about 30 seconds of me revving it up to about 2K that the noise returned and spraying the water didn't change the sound.
Actually, It didnt even start until recently when It got a little colder around here, before that it was relatively quiet for a 11 year old engine. I like to try to figure these things out myself without having to go to a garage, but at the same time I hate throwing money at things unless I...
I checked with the AC off in the cab ( but not with the belt itself off ) and still got the sound, Tried spinning the tensioner and idler pulley by hand this morning as well as the alternator but didn't seem to me like they made any sounds and felt like they spun freely. I did have the water...
I changed out my cam sensor about a year ago and even after that I still get the code thrown every once in a while. It shows up mostly when I'm driving at a low speed like in traffic and it will go off after about 5-10 miles of regular driving... Other than the stabilitrack warnings etc I have...

I was looking into doing this as I have some fading on the hood and light scratches from on the doors where the molding was. What do you have to do as far a preventive maintenance on the wrap to keep it clean or what kind of precautions as far as washing etc?... I live in the Dc area so I deal...
Driving 07 Denali as well and although only at around 140k I do plan on keeping it long term so I do hope you update this thread as you go as it has some good interesting info that I'm sure will be useful to alot of us in the future!
Havent had any problems as of yet, however we only use the Truck once or twice a week unless we are on an out of town trip for which the install was intended. And as the previous poster stated I have one on my bedroom tv as well in the usb sans wall plug and is cut on and off and runs usually...
Mine failed completely! luckily right as I was backing into my driveway!!! Sprayed coolant everywhere smelled it for a week. Ended up completely replacing hose and tee fitting was less then $30 on Amazon. Tool was useless and ended up breaking the old fittings as they were brittle from years of...
Sorry no as this was just a warm weather day project I did when I was bored as we had an upcoming long distant trip a few days later. As another member pointed out to me before i started the project the black panel literally just pops off and everything is easily accessible from that point on...
The simple adapter does not work ( I tried that first ) but the converter box was just a few bucks more... and yes I did tap into the power source you referenced under the armrest of the truck. I did the extra spicing work to make the instal cleaner and still allow me to use the plugs for...
I installed it So I could keep everything hidden and still use the original set if I wanted to play something else... For $9 it cost kept the install a lot cleaner. The most important part is that box Because just a standard adapter won't push the signal because of the older style hookups on...
Was Pretty easy this is what I used...
* Roku ( or any streaming device )
* HDMI in Composite cable out converter box.... Both devices require power
* Additional GM Video Input terminal GM#10375379 ( or splice into the existing one )
* AV cables to connect the two...
