    Turbo diesel for the Denali!

I currently drive a Silverado 3.0 crew cab 4x4. You'll get the fuel mileage, low end torque and towing fuel mileage. But performance of a 6.2? like 0-60 or passing? Performance wise close too the 5.3 but its no 6.2. Since my purchase in June. I would buy a 3.0 tahoe/yukon right now if it...

    Turbo diesel for the Denali!

Steve I don't have enough time with the engine to say go buy it. Need some cold weather which is rapidly approaching. I did buy it for the fuel mileage compared to the 6.2 I wanted and it gets Double than the 13 PPV it replaces(my MPG Numbers are not normal). Combo does drive great. Oil...

What did you do to your NNBS SSV/PPV today?

These 2wd ppv need some extra weight in the rear to help with traction!!!! I live/work in one of the colder snowy parts of Northern NY. Truck goes good. But you need to know when to say NO when trying to do 4wd stuff. But my PPV does not have a locking diff!!!! Single wheel peel sucks. Our...

    Stabilitrak disable function?

Opt you should try unplugging the brake fluid level sensor? It disables the Traction Control/stabiltrac but retain ABS function. If so inclined all you would need cut one wire and add a switch to it. No need for a relay

    Stabilitrak disable function?

Mike turning off both traction/stabiltrac on the 12+ PPV does not work(. Your only choice is on or traction control off, not both. But on the SSV you can turn off both. go figure!!!! Like I said above if you want to turn it off(traction/stabitrac) just unplug the brake fluid level sensor...

    Stabilitrak disable function?

Keith yup as you found you cannot disable it 100% officially. I did find on my 13 ppv that you can unplug the Brake fluid level sensor and guess what traction control/stabiltrac are disabled. But you do get warning lamps/chimes every 3 min or so. Drive over your favorite road then disable it...

    CLUNK...THUNK...POP...neat

I know you found the bad body mount. I see how you tested the ball joints. Did you unload the Ball joints to test? basically you use a jack on the lower control arm of the side you are testing then check for play. This makes a big difference. Just throwing it out there.

Where is cheapest place to buy a new dash for my cracked one?

Well you can add the 2013 Tahoes to the list cracked dashboards. I purchased a 13 Tahoe PPV last month with just over 60k for mileage. First cold day outside it cracked by the passenger air bag and I found another spot starting in front of the instrument cluster. Both common area's of...

    Coolant Leak

Dealer should have them. If you can get them off without breaking them. You might be able to replace the orings. I struggled to get them off(and I specialize in cooling systems) and had to cut them off. John
