Torsion bars are a spring in a basic sense so they can sag and wear but it is probably dependent on how the truck has been used. I would imagine plowing, or towing heavy loads would be harder on them. I wouldn't imagine that most trucks with 123k miles would experience bad torsion bar/bars but...
@blueinkd No worries I think I understand your questions... A distinction: I used component set speakers if not already mentioned. In the case you don't know component speaker sets split up the duties of high and low frequencies between a woofer and seperate tweeter. Due to this they come as a...
(#3 continued...) WHEEL POLL: These are all GMT-800 dealer accesory 20's. My favorite so far would be to get a set of these and likely refinish them. What do you guys think about these on the truck? Which set would you choose? Picture 1, 2 or 3?
In the case they upload out of order I will call...
(#3 continued...) I decided to flip these wheels and tires as they weren't quite the look I'm hoping for but they should be a good reference for others hoping to try them. I will find the part number for them later today and update.
Other than wheels and trips to get lumber, I finished the...
#3 A little more love!
After a rough week and a half I have a brand new roof but this poor truck seemed neglected. I still have yet to wash it . I finally got caught up on life enough to show her a bit more love though. I discovered during house repairs that you can in fact fit 10 ft...
I am a solid 210. They compress about a half inch or so pushing and then immediately rebound back up when released. Must be good for at least a few more miles.
I do not, my truck is lowered with an almost new belltech street setup ~5000 miles Most of the parts are removed from that install. I couldn’t even give an accurate guess but the whole truck is in really good shape so I’m guessing they are not originals likely a second or third pair.

@Tonyrodz i think so too, really excited for the e fan swap too.
@Rocket Man right? Oh well it was still a good deal but I do agree with you on that.
@S33k3r this was in Pontiac, MI the bed was pretty rusty but I do know those composite bedsides are hard to find. The rear axle was stripped...
I think so, they aren’t Escalade vents or smooth aftermarket vents, but they are already painted. Would be easy to respray or better for someone with a gold truck. I never see them in any other color than the factory black though which is why they seemed special. The factory black always fades...
Selling these d-pillar vents I found on my recent trip to u-pull. They should fit 2000-2006 Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Yukon XL and Escalade. They caught my eye as they were paint matched and in relatively good shape. I assume this truck was a special edition based on other parts it had. These are...
(#2 continued...) she helped me pull out some interior parts, pull the wheelbarrow around and we made a date of it. I thought this crew cab quadrasteer truck was pretty neat, a rare sight to see!
#2 Junkyard Dawgs... went to the local u-pull with my girl looking for parts. She had never been and we both had the day off so it was a great adventure. We scored pretty good too!
For a grand total of $72.39 we picked up a few parts: electric fans with wiring and a warranty, drivers power fold...
@adventurenali92 thanks it is definitely sweet, I used 2 brand new blades and my utility knife. The weathertech mat has the seat brackets and the cargo hooks sort of outlined already. As you can see I didn’t get the hooks trimmed yet but just go slow and you can cut them nearly exact with the...
Thanks @S33k3r I really love it, much more to come. I do want to swap to efans! It is a weather tech rear mat in tan and matches fairly well. Came with the Tahoe and they had never trimmed the seat bracket holes.
