hear that, ive contemplated putting a small turbo t60 or something for instant spool for towing help but other than that i wouldnt bother. the 5.3 has plenty of power for towing and the 6.2 does too, neither one can hold a candle to a powerstroke or duramax so towing itsnt too much of a concern...
i did mine with hptuners, its very easy. compared to performance tunes or drag cars...AFM tuning on a suv is simple. actually the extent of tuning any of these SUV's requires a level 1 tuner at best. shift points/ tq management...all monkey level tuning

with trailer brakes there is no need to upgrade the trucks brakes. the controller will take care of it. can a trans tune on it and a larger cooler for insurance.
