Finally got some good weather to figure out a solid solution to the bottom skid plate mount; M8 stainless nutserts, 50mm stainless M8 bolts, and 25mm stainless spacers. In the meantime, I'm thinking a wider aluminum skid with 5 inch fog lights.
It's a work in progress but I roughed in the skid plate without a bottom bracket support. It's just bolted on top. First pic is skid attached. Second is without from a distance. Still trying to decide on grille options.
Last night I decided to do some searching about Wireless Android Auto and came upon an app called Headunit Reloaded: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gb.xxy.hr&hl=en_US
It appears to be a solution for those with tablets in their cars. There's even an XDA thread about it here...
I wish I could spend more time with it, but I think it's a fair deal and would do it again. It certainly made an impression with my GF. Soundwise it's indistinguishable, maybe even better after fine-tuning the sound with the EQ. (I like the sliders to look like a wide-angle V)
Pros:
It's clean...
I haven't even snapped it back to the console yet. I was wondering if I should add anything else while I still have it apart, like front-end car parking sensors (good for lifted trucks) or cameras. There's so many options from the harness I just don't want to miss out on anything I might want...
Nope, no extra noise through the speakers for anything.
In other news, they shipped the wrong backup cam harness for 12-14 Tahoe. It's Metra model # backupcam-2, whereas they appear to have shipped backupcam-1.
I had to order through amazon, will update when it arrives.
Early impressions...
All of the complaints about it being slow with annoying turn signal noises and other nonsense don't exist with this model or software update. It's snappy, even when hard booted from a dead start.
Video is unobstructed by the interface in Youtube or Plex:

I laughed when he was complaining about the reflection off the screen being awkward with friends in the passenger seat.
Yeah, in the form that XM has an Android app
Got a chance to make some headway and remove the stock stereo/AC controls and take a look inside...
So I guess the 2012-1014 radios are different in that I needed a different antenna adapter than the one provided, and a different Rear Entertainment PAC cable from Amazon.
The correct part #s...
Going through the accessories...
TPMS Sensors and APP: I tested the TPMS unit on my phone. Everything appears to be working and I scheduled a "mount and balance" at 4wheelparts ($120) to have the internal sensors installed. I figured I would need to balance them anyway even with the external...
Still waiting on my order. Seems like I'm not the only one when I looked at their facebook page. And they're not answering the phone. I might try for a refund if they don't give me an answer soon.
edit: I just received an answer. It's coming from China and they have a notoriously bad postal...
This is from Phoenix Automotive https://www.phoenixautomotiveinc.com/, which is from the OP. I think they're the manufacturer. Rhino may be an affiliate.
