    I tapped into the subwoofer lines under the cup holder and then found the remote wire by the trunk release handle on driver side.

    You need to unplug the factory subwoofer from under the cup holder, because of Active Noise Cancellation (which uses the subwoofer) I had the same issue, and this solved it.
