    Thanks for the info, I will add this to my growing list of stuff to look at. :-) And the 4.11s are nice, what is not nice is cruising at 80 at almost 3000 RPM.

    Definitely do lifters. I did not change the lifters in my Firebird and one of them broke a roller a couple of years later, which also took out the cam.

    Mine had a 4.8 and is now a 6.0L with a supercharger and is still using a re-tuned stock PCM. You should be fine with the PCM.
