Finally got the air bag recall done at the dealership. Unfortunately, the "Service Air Bag" message still randomly appears off and on. Probably a loose sensor somewhere.
Replaced the oil pressure sensor for a second time on my Yukon over the weekend. Holy crap, I forgot how much that sucks doing. My wrist and forearm still hurt.
So I finally got around to working on my Yukon this week. I replaced the O-ring on the oil pickup line, which seems to have solved my low oil pressure warning that was coming on. I also replaced the oil pan gasket and oil cooler lines gasket.
This is the video I watched and followed that was...
Yeah, I've read to do both if you already have the oil pan out. I don't think I want to know about replacing the rear main seal. I'm no mechanic, I just do what I see on YouTube.
That seems to be the cheapest and easiest solution to try first. I just replaced those oil cooler lines and gasket about a year ago. But maybe a better gasket will do it.
I've notice the oil pressure fluctuating a bunch, a couple times it has gone down to zero and the "Stop engine" warning message has come on. I replaced the oil pressure sensor and screen about 2 years ago.
I hear you on that, I'm close to hitting 170K on mine. But I also think the leak is affecting the oil pressure. So I probably need to take care of it. Thanks for the advice.
Hey guys, I finally got my coolant leak issues fixed, now moving on to an oil leak. From reading various threads it looks like I need to replace the oil pan gasket. But I just wanted to confirm with people that know way more than I do. Pics are below. Or, let me know what else it could be...
Thanks, after searching the engine, it looks like the T connectors are the source of the leak! I couldn't tell which one was leaking but probably safe to replace both. Which parts would I need?
Hey everyone, I'm hoping to get some help with diagnosing the coolant leak on my 2011 Denali. I noticed the coolant level was pretty low in the tank and filled it up. I went out for some lunch after and when I came back out to the truck, it looked like someone basically poured out a new bottle...
This pic was from the passenger side. Those are the transmission lines that you see there. I replaced the engine oil cooler lines a few months ago. But it is a big mess.
I need to replace the transmission cooler lines on my 2011 Yukon Denali since they are starting to leak. When I go to look up the part, it gives two options of with or without Heavy Duty Transmission Cooling Package (KNP). How would I know if my Yukon does or doesn't have that?
Thanks in...
I was getting P0300 and P0304 codes along with a couple others I can't remember. Finally swapped out the spark plugs, wires, and an ignition coil. We got the Yukon with 120K miles, so I am guessing the plugs and wires were probably original. Codes are gone, everything is back to normal. Amazing...
Yes, I confirmed the shudder is happening when the AFM is switching between V4 and V8 modes. I want to get it disabled by sending in my PCM to LT1swap but can't really be without our second car for a week. Sadly, it will probably have to wait until my kids' 80 sports are done later in the spring...
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but did you ever resolve this issue? I have the same thing going on in my Yukon. I replaced the oil pressure sensor about a year ago but had this shudder problem when slowing down/coming to a stop around 1K even before I got the error code and replaced it.
Yes, first time doing the cooler lines. It wasn't too bad. But yes, I did cut the hoses, no need to keep them intact. It was much easier to pull them out that way. The dumb radiator clips slowed me down, but I found a video on YouTube that helped with removing them.
I think the shop I took my...
So I finally got around to cleaning my original throttle body and put it back in my Yukon. I'll be returning the one I got on Amazon Warehouse. My idle is back to normal. I don't think it needed to relearn but I did it anyway.
I also replaced the oil cooler lines. They were a disaster and...
