Power Door Locks not working
I keep an old incandescent headlight with leads attched to high beam and ground on the light. Put the appropriate spades on the other end and use the headlight instead of the fuse. It is great, if the short remains the headlight is lit up, when you disconnect the bad component the light goes... -

Tried it all, I need help. A constant Oil pressure fight.
Your Comment about oil pressure being fine after an oil change make me think of oil dilution. It would be worth sending a sample of the "low oil pressure oil" to a good lab like blackstone. Why do people keep offering to buy this 95 base model Tahoe?
The 2 door Tahoe has the appeal of a Bronco. Short wheelbase 2dr. Capabile light duty tow vehicle that is super maneuverable, easy to park etc. I really enjoy mine.- Jim b

03 Tahoe - 4l60e "lurches" on 1-2 shift
Not sure if this trans is similar to the ones used in 1997 but we have a 4L60E in our Astro Van. It started shifting just as you describe at about 30K miles. i changed to full synthetic ATF and it totally fixed it for years. The cooler line let go and dumped the ATF at about 90K. Just wanted to update this thread. I finally had a chance to look into my wandering problem. Based on issues that I had with my desert buggy that I solved by adding positive caster I decided to try that on the Tahoe. I set it to nearly Max available with the common upper control arm cam system...- Jim b

The engine has a full compliment of functioning accessories. Actually the tires are load range D. Not the cheapest but had the profile that I wanted. THe load capacity is significantly greater than the load. No the sidewalls are not super squishy, It in no way rides harshly compared to my 2500...- Jim b

What year was the C40? Sounds nice. How did it perform? On the highway the slightly cranked up 4B performs as good or better than the 350 did. I love pulling a 6% grade in 5th at 5000ft! I am an old guy and still love manual transmissions. I should qualify that with overdrive manual...- Jim b

Just a thought about mpg. Some people say that they could care less. I have used balancing beads for years in most of my vehicles. From 22.5s on my motor home to 185 14's on my vw golf. 15w40 for 125k good or bad?
Based on my experience it is highly unlikely that running a 15W oil would hurt any engine. Yes cold oil flow is important however a 15W will cushion the bearings during a cold start.
