My go-to air cover replacement bolts are pole barn screws. Look 'em up - comes complete with washer and gasket. A strong solid replacement fastener. And I'm right there with you! I fret every time i loosen these things!
I am watching but I don't have any knowledge of this but I say give this some more time. A lot of good folks on here and some answer only on the weekends - and you asked your question on late Sunday night. This is a popular topic so I'm sure some will chime in. Plus, there are plenty of previous...
I'm not in Indi but you don't mention a simple plug-in AFM Delete, like Diablosport or Range. You can call or order online. Maybe even try a cheapy first to see if it's for you. Is that something you considered?
Just a thought.
Appreciate the follow-up. As for the running boards, I have to thoroughly wire brush and liquidWrench all the pivot points at every oil change interval. It's a pain. I did not know this before I bought. I consider it a penance for not having researched before I bought...lol. I must say, the wife...
Good explanation and detail however even though you don't have mechanic experience, take your vehicle to Napa, Advanced Auto, Carquest, O'Reilly, any auto store and get those codes! It's free and the staff will assist you or do it for you. Snap a pic of all the codes. It takes like 5 minutes, if...
So sorry about the deer! What about finding the fuse for that and yanking it until you get some ideas or have the time and money to debug/troubleshoot it. Just a thought.
Yep, nice. Thank you! For those that didn't have the sound on or make it to the last minute: DO NOT throw your old belt away. Toss it in the back storage area for a peace of mind when traveling in the middle of nowhere. It's just one of those things.
Here's a pic I just took. Haven't heard from OP. That is ACC icon witht the adjustable gap. When you set the cruise control or re-adjust the speed, the dash clearly displays something like "Adaptive Cruise Control set to <speed>".
...and I believe when you set the cruise control and a "Gap Adjustment" display pops up in your dash then you have ACC. Also a simple Google image search of GM adaptive cruise control has the standard image icons that will tell you the difference between regular cruise and ACC.
Welcome. I have not, but iust wanted to add that I had a previous 25 year old car that did this but I simply used a touch of marine silicone caulk/adhesive. But I understand that we want to keep the rig nice looking, mine was getting to be too old for that. It was an old Volvo too, parts were...
Thanks for the update and detail. This will definitely help someone in the future. It’s these kinds of posts and people that make this forum invaluable!

2015 Yukon here, I soak hinges with PB Blaster and clean them out with a wire brush that reaches and gets into the hinges - after every oil change. That's the penance I've accepted for having the power retractable running boards.
There are YouTube videos that show this fix and similar for...
For me, that would be tough without specs or pics. I don't recall what I bought awhile ago. Maybe someone knows offhand. Try taking the crossbar to an automotive supply shop. The trick is getting the flaired head the right size. See 1st pic.
Tip: I went to the hardware store to get stainless...
