Changed oil, filter and air filter. Rotated tires and inspected the underbody while it was on the lift. Having a lift in the garage is one of the best things any serious owner can do, what a life changer.
I used Mobil1 0W-20 and a Napa Gold filter. This interval was 4,300 miles and the oil...
Why didn’t insurance buy the truck? Did you want a stolen truck back? No one drives a stolen car like grandma going to church on Sunday.
I hope the lock and programming isn’t too painful.
I bought my ‘15 Tahoe with 67,000. It drives like new, had maintenance to do after the first couple months, but the warranty I purchased took care of that. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again if we found the right vehicle.
I paid $2,000 for my extended warranty on my ‘15 LTZ. It paid for itself within a month when the front Magneride’s went out. Then the rear TV needed replacing when the screen stopped working. Those two repairs paid for the warranty in full. Now I’m getting “free” repairs for another 2 years...
That sounds promising! I’ll go look those reviews up and read up on it. As far as how mike rides? There is no rhyme or reason to when it’s smooth or not. I hate it 50% of the time on most roads, other times it just floats over. I will say that freeway speeds, on MI concrete roads will suck...
I’ve heard the MRC system quite to accurately described. I’ve been soul searching lately trying to figure out why it’s so rough on some road types and speeds and just glides along some of the roughest freeway stretches at freeway speeds.
OP, for what it’s worth, my ‘15 drives and handles perfectly fine. It drives like a truck, as expected for the platform.
We didn’t get much actual info about the differences between the two model years.
I bought a late 2015 Tahoe LTZ in 2019. It’s been outstanding so far. I replaced the MRC front and rear struts within a month of purchase under the warranty program I added to the purchase of the car (never done that before, but so glad I did). I also had to replace the rear video monitor...
They can keep it, I’ll be at the dealer the next day with an insurance check. I would never want a stolen vehicle back.
My neighbors had a new F250 stolen out of their driveway (keys were in it o_O), they searched for days and weeks looking for it. Ended up found several states away in a...
We really like it! Your Tahoe looks really good! I don't care for the super generic rims that are on my vehicle, but they work for now. Headed back up north soon, so I don't want to pony up for new black rims just to run them through salt for months.
When I got my front MRC struts replaced for rough ride last week, they also replaced the front lower ball joints. It helped a bunch. It felt like we were bottoming out on every bump.
Hi All,
First post, thanks for having me in your community. I bought a one-owner ‘15 Tahoe LTZ in May with 60k on it. Everything was perfect with it, except the ride started to get rough the last couple of weeks. Every bump felt like we bottomed out and it was shaking every panel in the...
