    Lifted Tahoe project/daily driver

I believe they are Rough Country. Just on the back to get the front and back tires tracking in parallel.

    Lifted Tahoe project/daily driver

I have a Rough Country lift and springs that are around an 8” lift. Was supposed to be a Fabtech, but the installer sold me Fabtech and installed Rough Country! The ride is great though and I love the bumpers.

Thanks! Front bumper is a Trail Ready made for Tahoes and Suburbans… I love it. Super heavy duty and I have a 12,500lb Warn Winch inside, dual Andersen connectors in the ports to dual Optima batteries, and it has a front hitch. The grille is from Royalty Core and it is a great grille… but you...

    Dual Batteries installation.

I honestly don’t remember dealing with a ring sensor. Hopefully some other members can chime in.

    Dual Batteries installation.

Let’s both scour the forum for the best alternator. I tend to want excessive overkill in parts for my 07 Tahoe! Always open for suggestions from my friends!

    Dual Batteries installation.

I am using this isolated and have had good success. Not happy with my accessories draining battery when parked at night… but I think that is due to a bad ignition switch not turning off dash power. Take a look at this one and see if it meets your needs. Relatively simple install. Good luck...

Anyone here use a receiver mount swing down tire carrier

I went with a Wilco, they have a ton of models. I wanted the most heavy duty model (37” Tire) and wanted a side swing opening with a pass thru hitch. I like it so much that I welded it into my bumper and modified the wheel mount so it is had all wheel lugs and locks. This one is expensive but...

    Wilwood big brake kit

After looking at Brembo and Wilwood, I went with the PowerStop brake kits front and rear. I got new heavy duty calipers (red), drilled and slotted rotors, pads and have been very happy with the performance and long life. They did require 20” wheels because of the rotor size, but they do a...

Welcome to the forum. Great to see another lifted off-road Tahoe!

    Lifted Tahoe project/daily driver

My 07 has seen plenty of dirt and I have spacers. Just make sure everything is heavy duty. Although the new 37s are creating some challenges off-road… but I really like them. More trimming required!

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I don’t know… my 8 inch lift and 37s make it very easy to exit my 07! Getting in is another matter!

Thanks… I agree in the quality improvements, but don’t like paying for a more expensive lift and finding out later that they installed something less expensive. I would have probably seen it if I was 20 years younger! Any new stuff gets a closer inspection.

Incredibly easy swap, Amerihood reinforces their hoods, has a mount for the factory piston and hinge mounts, and even ran integrated ducts from the ram air intakes to the air box. I did add hood pins because I never trust hood catches in high winds… and I have driven through some 100mph gust...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Wow… makes my 225,000 seem a little younger! Sounds great. I ran Kooks long tube headers through cross pipes and dual flows out the back. Sounds much better now and definitely gained some power and mileage.

Went 4.56s to compensate for the 37” tires. Stayed with standard Chevy housing with HD shafts in the back (longevity). I mainly use it on our farm and occasionally pull some stranded motorists out of ditches… actually pulled a semi tractor out of the mud recently! This is my “Old Man”...

Thanks! It’s an old 07 Tahoe LTZ that was beaten up by hail and has 225K miles. Decided to bring it back to life one step at a time. I went with an Amerihood fiberglass cowl/ram air hood because old hood had too much hail and paint issues. Great strong hood. Painted everything with Raptor...

Running about 8 inches of lift and putting in new rear end with 4.56s (front and back) and HD axles this week. Before… After… Much more fun now!

Welcome from Kansas! Nice ride… watch out… you start with 33s, then you want 35s, then 37s…! I am currently at 37s and it is fun to pull up next to Hummers with a height advantage! This forum is great and the members are a fantastic source of knowledge. Good luck with your project.

The build looks great. How did you do the console mods for radio and switches? I also have an 07 LTZ. Great work!

    Seat stuck in reclined position

I know this sounds crazy, but my 07 had the same issue and made me crazy. I was able to get the seat back upright after moving the seat all the way forward and trying the recline switch in different positions while moving the seat horizontally. When it was positioned about half to 2/3 towards...
