I debated again today if I should spend the $1200 to replace the ABS ECBM due to the random Check Engine light or try to sneak in another State Inspection when the light is not on. I've been successful for 4 years now but I'm about to gift the Tahoe to my son. Can't decide..........

I went with LED and love it. Had to change out the flasher relay (to avoid hyper-flashing) and everything works great. They're so bright at night, that when I...
Mike, can you add a shot down the side of your Tahoe so I can see what kind of effect the 2" spacers provided? Also, did you notice any turn-radius or other driving differences?
Mike, looks like a great job! I love the hood. My hood is staring to show some wear and would love one like that. Where did you get it? At some point I will probably need to replace my seats, they are not as bad as the ones you replaced but lots of cracking. Mine are the light grey leather...
I put the Flash Relay in the other day and solved the HyperFlash issue. No worries regarding reverse lights or cruise control as I replaced the whole rear light assembly a while back. I'm guessing they came with resistors built in to the assembly cause they're LED.
Getting to the ambient...
Getting back to the HyperFLashing... I stopped by AutoZone to purchase an LED Electronic Flasher Relay (EP28 or EP29). The salesman said that wouldnt do a thing and said only splicing in resistors would solve the issue. Amazon on the other hand had plenty of customers that said this device...
That is a good suggestion and I tried it. No change. I watched a YouTube video of a guy change out his ambient light sensor. He said he did it because his headlights ran all the time and assumed it was bad. Sure enough, after the change, the headlights did not come on during the day. I have...
You're right, the first few times I thought the light was in, but it wasnt. It will actually "click" once it is seated properly. I have tried during the day, up against my garage door, in Drive and no difference. And yes, they are SUPER brittle!
I wonder if it could be a light sensor...
2002 Tahoe Z71. I did a full LED conversion. DRLs still not working (swapped relay and fuse, no change). Cruise never a problem. I do have hyper-flashing but doesnt bother me. The Novita LM487 sounded interesting but apparently is not available for a 2002 Tahoe. Any ideas on alternatives...
