Well, it’s good to have friends that are welders. The bolt doesn’t unscrew so we welded the bolt back together. A little more slop in the armrest now but functional and seems to be strong enough (until the next 160 pound kid decided to step on it. Thanks everyone
Here’s a couple Picts of the chair and bolt sticking out. I’m assuming this bolt screws in the the chair with standard threading (counter clockwise to remove)? I tried to JB Weld a nut on it then back the bolt out but that didn’t work, JB Weld isn’t strong enough. Thinking I’ll try to drill it...
My kid stepped on the captain chair armrest in our 2011 GMC Yukon and broke the bolt and armrest off. Has anyone had to fix this? The armrest is in good condition, I just need to remove the broken bolt from chair and replace it from what I can see?
