    I have no idea why the push rods was bent I replaced a lifter then was still getting a misfire so something told me to check the rods they was fine when I replaced the lifter and took it for a test drive

    I have 08 Tahoe 5.3L Changed the Oil pressure sensor, Pick up tube, High volume oil pump installed and pressure relieve valve and still getting low pressure anyone got any info? I did notice the pan was dirty I’m reading about the oil filter to use the AC Delco filter

    I installed new valves and seals I should’ve replaced the guides too The valves got bent from hitting the tops of the pistons do to bent push rods

    Turns out a few valves was bend and valve seals was damaged leaking oil in the cylinders causing random misfires

    I think I may have figured this out but because of rain and no garage I’ll have to wait I noticed 2 of the valves is not flushed with heads and notice some marks on the top of the pistons it’s dumping oil in the cylinders causing the misfire and blue smoke on start up so I think I’m gonna...

    I’m gonna do a compression test today I got everything out back together and still get a random misfire I’m also getting a U 0101 code But I did forget to mention I had some cheap cats and replaced them they was hollow after taking them off I’m thinking the muffler could be causing this aswell...

    the spark plugs is black not all of just about 3 or 4 them some oil on them from inside the cylinders I’ll be putting everything back together today hopefully no misfiring all vacuum hoses and lines is good no leaks there

    I replaced the lifter guides aswell I also installed new spark plugs and still getting a misfire I’m thinking it could be the heads not torqued correctly because of some cheap bolts for eBay that didn’t go in easy I’m thinking that could be the problem spark plugs is getting wet

    Ok here’s an update: I took everything apart and started over cleaned the heads checked the push rods and come to find out I didn’t torque the heads correctly I put everything back together with new bolts and torque them one of the intake gaskets was broken as well so everything is working fine...
