    It's not great looking, lol and it's only $5 and I'm a pro at wiring, soldering etc... I often replace them if they make uncomfortable. I'll try just the sensor first though and see what happens. Soldering in that spot isn't going to be easy, so it may be best to do them one at a time anyway...

    That may be the reason. I had a cylinder misfire due to collapsed lifter when I got the truck. I don't know if I've tried it since I had the motor rebuilt. I'll try it again, thanks for the feedback.

    So I'm understanding this correctly, the remotes are programmed and will work for everything except remote start. Doors unlock and lock, auto lift gate and hatch work, but not remote start. And you're saying that the remote start feature won't work unless it's programmed by some other means?

    Injectors aren't too difficult to swap either. Check to make sure the connectors are clean and no signs of corrosion. I did all these things and then sent it to the shop and found a collapsed lifter had worn into the cam. I hope you have better luck.

    My buddy recomended welding in dynomax bullets because they look like cats for inspection. I'd rather have a high flow cat though. I'll check out those magnaflows 992dr mentioned. Any other suggestions?

    Don't know. Previous owner ran the vehicle for a long time with a misfire though, so I wouldn't be surprised. Cam was bad, alomg with bearings, lifters, push rods, rocker arms etc...

    Just got my truck back from the shop. Did a full break down of the 5.3, replaced just about every major component except the lower end. Stage 3 cam with DOD delete, but my mech says he can't tune it because I gave it to him with a full tank of regular gas. Not the only reason he wants to wait...

    Where is this? That's exactly what I wanted to do. I have two friends with paint shops and wanted to lift the whole thing up and clean off all I could and the use the converter on it before I seal it. Then do the body work. I'm more interested in stopping it right now.

    I knew I was making a mistake buying a truck with a title from Mass, but here we are. I do have some good donors in the salvage yard though if they'll let me chop em up for panels and I can get doors, fenders and lift gates if need be.
