    Interesting point. I have been buying the Sylvanias from Auto Zone or equivalent for years. Probably why I hate the lighting so much. Plus they only seem to last a couple of years. Do the parts store sell the OEM GM lamps? Or are you buying them from a dealer/gmpartsdirect.com?

    Update: I'm a dumbass. That connector goes to the close hatch button located in the plastic liftgate moulding. I didn't see it because I hadn't tried to re-install the big main plastic moulding piece yet.

    I assume said options are programmed into the ECM? If so, since the ECM hasn't changed in my truck it still makes me wonder why different clusters have different options. Is there programming that has to occur that is specific to the clusters themselves?

    I did. I wish it were that easy. I think @swathdiver may be right. Its not that it needs to be reset from something <10% back to 100% which is the normal reset , its not taking a reading at all.
