I put a new 6.0 in my 13 Tahoe a couple of years back. Exhaust question now.

Thank you. I was looking at it. I think you are right , but I question myself because the over the axle bend and resonator look like they both start immediately after the axle bend on my Tahoe and the ESV. That makes me think it may be in front of the muffler. I appreciate your input.

I put a new 6.0 in my 13 Tahoe a couple of years back. Exhaust question now.

I've been running the 5.3 factory exhaust, so this week I bought the equivalent year for an escalade factory exhaust; Y pipe back. In my stupidity, what I failed to do was recognize that I was buying the exhaust off an escalade ESV. I haven't pulled the exhaust off my Tahoe yet, and from...

    E-85 question

You're going to laugh at me. The 6.0 was a warranty replacement. It had less than 4,500 miles on it. All I did, was buy it for $2,000, put a new 6l80 on it and plug it into the 2013 PPV. I never reprogrammed the ECM. I did get a GM mechanic to run the diagnostics and the fuel to air ratio...

    E-85 question

Hey guys, My daily driver is a 2013 PPV that reads 230,000 miles. I bought it a few years ago. I replaced the 5.3 with a nearly new GM remanufactured 6.0. It was a warranty job for a 2009 Tahoe Hybrid, so an LFA block. Everything on the truck is pretty new. But here is what I don't...

    Need Advice on Engine Stumble

On Doubleeive's post, I agree; at least from my experince. I mentioned before that I put in a new factory GM 6.0 in my 212K mile 13 Tahoe. When that was done, the intake was cleaned and most of the sensors replaced. I had a stumble / high idle during braking and it was bugging me. I'd run...

Cold Air Intake for the most power??

I don't want to sound contrary to many of the replies, but I tried the Air Raid which came with the K&N. It's not a hill I want to die on with regard to increased horsepower or torque, but I could feel a different throttle response before I was completely reversed out of my driveway. That's...

Likely a dumb question, but here it goes. I'm fairly new to Chevrolet, 61 and just bought my first 4 for work and

So, am I hearing that the 11 and 13 Tahoes, plus the 07 van came with dual type collapsible lifters even if the DOD came programmed out at the time of purchase. I have two of the cop Tahoes and I feel pretty sure that neither have ever entered AFM and I thought I read on here that the...

Likely a dumb question, but here it goes. I'm fairly new to Chevrolet, 61 and just bought my first 4 for work and

pleasure about 3-4 years ago. My first was two used 2500 vans. The 4.8 was ticking when I bought it at 85,000 miles and it is still chugging right along 25,000 miles later. One of the Tahoes, former cop car I bought started ticking and I drove it 2,000 miles home from northern NY to Memphis...

20 inch rims on PPV tahoe

I looked on FB for a while. There were plenty in the $500 - $600 range. I found a guy in AR at a small yard who had just taken in an 80K mile Yukon with at 3.42 interlocker. I pulled reports to be sure. A lady had owned it. The guy pulled it for me $325.00. I put it in. I changed the...

20 inch rims on PPV tahoe

I have two PPVs. An 11 and a 13. 20's are great. I put 20s on both. Both PPVs came with 3:08 rear axles. One was open and the other was an interlocker. When you put 20s in GM factory size 275-55-20 you lower the ration to 2:80 or so. I can't remember exactly. It's actually ok on take off...

Shout out to you guys & Air Raid

I took this board’s advice and I have to say that the Air Raid intake is awesome and provided an immediate seat of the pant feel on my 13 RWD with the 6.0. I knew before I backed out of the driveway that it had made a difference. Throttle response, acceleration and light growl made this a...

Tire pressure monitor error and fob not working at the same time?

I don’t know how to link a post, but if you can search for my 1st post from June 12th of this year titled “Long time lurker…”, you may find it helpful. Long time lurker / First time poster needs to pick your brains on my 13 Tahoe

Guys, thank you to all! Swathdiver fixed my problem; ;he was right. The d pillar remote door lock receiver which I had replaced did need to be reprogrammed to the vehicle. All three FOBs are working perfectly. Thanks again and a special thanks to @swathdiver.

Long time lurker / First time poster needs to pick your brains on my 13 Tahoe

Guys, thank you so much! That is great information. Pardon my ignorance, but is RCDLR you're referring to a Remote-?-Door-Lock-Receiver; is that the remote door lock module that I replaced on the D pillar? Are you saying that I need to have it programmed to the Tahoe specifically?

Long time lurker / First time poster needs to pick your brains on my 13 Tahoe

Hey guys, I apologize if this is redundant, but I cannot find the answer on here and I need someone who may have a different idea. In the last couple of years, I've bought two of the PPV vehicles. The second I bought cheaply, but I've put a lot of time and some money into it to make it my...

    6L80 swap info

Gentlemen, I am new to the board and a first time poster. I apologize in advance for my ignorance, but I've been a Ford guy all my life and have just recently made a switch to several GM products for my work vehicles. I purchased two used 2500 Express vans and have been pleased, so now I just...
