I probably should have clarified. We're going to be heading up to Hurricane Ridge to teach the kids how to ski and snowshoe. The parks department requires all vehicles there to carry chains. At over 5,000 feet the roads can get pretty hairy I hear.
I've used chains on smaller front wheel...
Probably a dumb question. I sent my wife a link to the chains we need. She orders them and they show up at our door. She only ordered one set! I'm assuming I need to run with chains on all 4 wheels (2008 Yukon Hybrid) since any chance that we'd need them we'd obviously be in 4-wheel drive...
Dealer just called saying there are several TSB's about this that they're going to address. Supposedly updating some software and should have it ready for tomorrow. The sensor that tells the computer where the brake pedal is and adjusts/proportions the re-generative braking accordingly with the...
I called GMC Roadside Assistance - they're coming to get it and take it to the dealer. It's the damndest thing - all is fine until I step on the brake pedal then all hell brakes loose (pun intended)
Here's a short vid I made to show the service tech in case it stops doing it and they can't...
This morning I went into the garage, turned the key to start the car and my foot (on the brake pedal) went to the floor. The dashboard lit up with warnings about the Stabilitrack system, ABS, etc. I tried turning it on and off a couple of times but it kept happening.
I put the car in reverse...
I've been noticing an odd noise that seems to be coming from the transmission. It happens around 1900 RPM when accelerating from a stop or rolling stop. I don't know much about transmissions so I can't explain where the noise is coming from but it sounds a bit like the transmission is in between...
Finally got around to taking some pictures. Just removed the HYBRID stickers today. I think the next step is an HID conversion
OK - let's try Photobucket
Does anyone know if you can integrate fog lights into the front end of the Yukon Hybrid? Living in Seattle means a lot of dark, rainy roads and I've always appreciated some auxiliary lighting on my cars. The Hybrid doesn't come with any fog lights and it appears the only way to install them...
Called the dealer, gave 'em my VIN and everything came back A-OK. The guy I spoke with made a point of letting me know I had a five year, 100,000 powertrain warranty. Not sure why, I thought that was standard?
Hi folks,
I'm new to the forum and to GMC ownership. We just picked up a 2008 Yukon Hybrid over the weekend and hope to enjoy it for years to come. At first glance I'm pretty impressed with the quality of the vehicle. We traded in our 2006 Jaguar XJ8 and the Yukon has nearly as nice of a ride...
