    Tahoe Travel Trailer

Towing a camp trailer is a different experience for sure. Your Tahoe, like my Yukon, are the shorter wheelbase models and that will have an effect on trailer handling. The larger the towing vehicle in relation to the towed, the easier it gets. You will feel the effects of big trucks passing...

2018 Yukon Denali - Help confirming suspension

Magnaride will have a two wire connector on top of the shock, coming out of the body right next to the mount. You should be able to see or feel it without removing a tire.

Dreaded Effing lifter tap...... - SOLVED

This is the video I came across while researching and why I made the statement above.

Dreaded Effing lifter tap...... - SOLVED

No. When the lifter is collapsed the distance the pushrod travels is less, there will be no valve to piston contact. I did a lot of research when my lifter collapsed. It is the geometry of the pushrods and placement of rocker arms above the valves. They do no push strait up and down like an old...

    2019 Yukon/Transmission fluid temp problems

Go to an independent shop for some diagnosis to get the real rundown of what the transmission is doing. Go to dealership changed the transmission and stomp yer feet, go over the service advisor's head and make some noise.

2018 yukon diesel in gas tank

I got diesel out of the premium pump once. We drove home just a couple of miles and it would not start the next morning. The station informed me the following day that the delivery driver messed up. Had it towed, the mechanic pumped the diesel out and changed the oil. Running fine probably...

    8L90 1,2 Shift Issue

Looks like I'm in the market for a good bi-directional scan tool. Anyone have suggestions for one I can grow into?

    8L90 1,2 Shift Issue

Thank you Nick! The dealer is a long way away for diagnostics. I am not sure if it's two way, I have a innova 5510 scanner and have no idea how to use it. I am not opposed to buying one though. The good thing is the condition did not repeat today!

    8L90 1,2 Shift Issue

2017 Yukon Denali 6.2 with 8L90. This morning the 1,2 shift, 1st goes kind of long then goes to nuteral, this lets the engine rev up then bangs into 2nd. Then I put in tow mode and it acted much better. This was at low speed, very gentle on the throttle, the the engine and trans temps very low...

2017 Yukon Denali Rear Shock Replacement

No not really. I ditched the Arnott magnaride clones in favor of OE GM and am still not happy with it. I think the issue is different shock rates between the passive Fox coilovers on the front and the OE electronics in the rear. I think I need passive rears with air leveling.

1" or 1.5" Front Level 2017 Yukon Denali

I am probably going with the carbonshocks.com that @Fifty posted above. I will send the fox back to fox for service and dump them of the book of faces. I believe quality shocks should last. Put Bilsteins on my '95 Wrangler 15 years ago and they don't leak. Fox should probably stick with motor...

Upgrading Ride Quality of a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4WD

I installed Fox 2.0 adjustable coilovers on the front of my '17 Denali back in Nov 2023, 7 months ago, less than 15K miles. They are leaking on top, Fox and Summit Racing told me to pound sand as my date of purchase was June of 23, I didn't get them installed for a while. I put Bilsteien...

1" or 1.5" Front Level 2017 Yukon Denali

Good morning all, I am bumping this thread to express my displeasure with the FOX 2.0 Adjustable shock assemblies. The photos above show I installed them in October of '23, now in June '24 they are leaking. Yesterday I installled a new Hellwig front sway bar and to do so removed the front...

    U-Haul Trailer Towing Questions

Set the tire pressure cold, this means ambient for where you are, before driving. Do not adjust or let tire pressure out when tires are hot, this means on a short stop. Heat will increase the pressure, do not let any out. The higher ambient temp at your destination is not an issue. It is not...

2017 Yukon Denali Rear Shock Replacement

Well, I am back to report that the issue was completely mine. The electrical connection on the right rear shock was not seated, the o-ring type seal had escaped the grove and was jammed in the bottom of the socket. Removed the o-ring, lubed with dielectric grease and it went right together...

2017 Yukon Denali Rear Shock Replacement

I am bumping this thread because I am not happy with the performance of the Arnott MR 3626 magnaride rear shocks. Still the rear end is still bouncing around. Even did the old put your weight on the rear bumber to bounce it, stopped moving on the third bounce. When I replaced the fronts with...

    Mount em up!

"While they are at it..." does not compute for dealers. I garronntee if you had a repair that included pulling the engine and asked to have the motor mounts replaced "while they are at it" the book time for each job would apply.

    2017 Escalade/Denali L86 "requires" 93 octane - your experience?

Why you sad Marky? From your posts, I consider you quite knowledgeable, is there something incorrect in my statement?

    2017 Escalade/Denali L86 "requires" 93 octane - your experience?

I need to qualify this with yes, if you have a high compression engine that needs it. My brother continually puts mid grade in his jeep wrangler thinking it "runs better". :/ High octane fuel won't do anything to improve performance of an engine that is not intended for it. Most folks don't...

My problem is living so remote, nobody in this town can tune these without removing the ecm/tcm from the vehicle and sending it off.
