I had a similar issue and it was a crankshaft position sensor. You may also want to check your fuses in the engine compartment and make sure they are all reseated as they get loose.
Good news, after more research I figured it would be my fuel pump relay fuse so I changed it out yesterday, still no start up . So I pushed down on every fuse and relay in the fuse box to make sure everything is seated. The SUV then fired up. :D Felling much better and learned something...
I had a disabler on it until after the fuel pump replacement. There are no codes and the engine won’t crank or turn over. I’ll take a look at it this weekend and see if I have any better luck.
Update and more woes. about 4 weeks ago on the way home from work I lost power and my engine shut off on the freeway. I pulled over and tried to restart but the engine would not fire. After changing the battery and getting it towed to my local shop I found out that the fuel pump relay was bad...
I have a similar issue with my used 07 Suburban. The return air vent line is clogged and don't allow air to vent when fueling at the pump. I need to replace my canister also but until then you can refuel by using 5 gallon cans and doing a manual pour which works out. It's just a PITA doing it...
A few weeks ago I bought a dual-battery kit with is a battery box for a 12 volt battery with gauges and attachments. I put a 12 volt deep cycle battery in and plan on using it for ham radio. For charging I need to see if I want to connect it to the 12 volt socket in the rear or find another way...
After a good bit of thinking and getting tired of listening to the transmission shuttering I bought the Qzucar AFM delete module. Installed it this morning and took a test drive, Now I know how the Suburban is susposed to drive. rides nice and I feel I can "get on it" without feeling the...
I remember in the 2000's I had a 95 and 96 Caprice 9C2 police car and other than the green silicone colling hoses, suspension, a harder 2nd gear shift and a speed limiter lifted it was the same as the later Impala SS. It had a tested speed of 152 mph. Wish I had kept my last one. :(
This past weekend thinking I had the issue fixed I tried to fill up and same problem. What I may need to do until I replace the vent line is use a gas funnel and fill up that way since it doesn’t create any back pressure in the vent line. It’s a learning process.
Today I got out the air compressor and a small nozzle. I blew out what looked like 2 small vent holes and then added 2 x 5 gallons of gas from some canisters. Worked like a charm! Thanks for he tip, saved some $$$$$
Okay, here’s another issue with the SUV, I know nothing is perfect in a used vehicle. While running the AC the last few times I noticed that the driver side blows cold air and the passenger side blows hot air. I’d seen something about a blend door under the dash that needs fixing to correct the...
Hi, I did some checks today on the drive home and that looks to be the problem. When in V4 slowing down the vibrations start. What’s the best fix? Delete the DOD? Or could it be a solenoid in the transmission?
Has anyone built out a custom console for mounting ham radios? I have a front bench seat in my 07 Suburban with a middle jump seat that I need to replace with a console so I can mount 2 Ham radios. I was thinking about installing a PPV type mounting plate with a PPV radio console or just do a...
Similar issue with my 07 Suburban. I'll need to check the pressure vent tube. When I try to add gas I can hear the pressure changing and the the fuel flow stops.
Hi, I getting some slight vibrations in my 07 Suburban when down shifting going through 2nd gear. The new to me SUV has 149k miles. Otherwise drives great. No issues accelerating up through the gears. Could this be a electronic issue or is the transmission starting to go?
Thanks
I my new to me 2007 Suburban, I’ve notices the last 2 times I’ve tried to fuel up that the back pressure only allows me to get about 8oz of gas in at a time before shutting off the fuel filler. Taking forever to gas up. What could be causing this?
Thanks
