2005 Yukon xl slt with bose factory stereo. I've looked at so many diagrams that are not quite right, missing colors or way to many empty spots. I just want to see if anyone has same year or close to 2005 with the bose and has a picture of where the wires go into the factory plug. the wires were...
No its not the starter it was firing up with ease 5 minutes before i changed that license plate light. So a ground or cable maybe but not the starter itself i know that 100%
Low voltage on dash but accessories work fine is weird
I gotcha i did turn the engine over moved no problem. When it clicks i noticed the throttle body door clicks as well and opens a little bit each click
I appreciate the in depth explanation. I'm going to test all grounds and inspect the cables tonight im really not trying to waste anybodies time but i was trying to say its at least not the battery or starter because i had both components checked so now im thinking grounds are going to be the...
I can rule that out cuz i had the first one tested and got a new one anyway so see if it made a difference and same thing so pretty sure its not to do with the battery
So is this pretty much narrowed down to bad battery cables or bad ground? I wire brushed battery terminals so those are clean,no corrosion, and nice and tight
Yeah tried jumping it from another car and with a jump pack and yeah it makes it way down to 10v real quick when trying to crank it. Wouldnt accesorries not work as well or go in and out if it was a ground. Any chance neutral safety switch has anything to do with this?
Wipers radio heat everything works fine i could turn the radio on loud for 10 minutes so only when i try to start something is wrong but accessories continue to work fine headlights are bright
Havent tried that cuz its outside and its. Been 15 degrees all day but if i jump it and it doesnt go what could possibly be not allowing it to go and show such low voltage on the dash mega fuse? Does this one have that?_
Ok so not the pcm b fuse i found a bad fuse for injectors and replaced it but i was thinking that wasnt gonna be the question. What would make my voltage reading on my dash read at 9 volts when the battery is at 12.5 2 good batteries same thing starter and alternator are both at 12.5 too so...
Yeah put the old ones back in and they still work but one of the bulbs got burned but still worked after this so it didnt blow a fuse for the lights i checked every fuse maybe i gotta double check damn near every fuse
Yeah i forgot to mention that at first one of the license plate bulbs were out so replaced it with the proper bulb b4 i tried the leds and the new bulb got burned up but still worked and after i wasnt able to start it the lights still worked. Is it possible the pcm fuse popped before the fuse...
Ok i will try both of those. Is.there anything other than bad cable or ground that would not allow starter to go? Theft detterant a possibility? What else could cause the system to drain so quickly?
Everything worked fine it was just running before the bulbs were put in so i doubt the starter just took a crap after working just fine after a bulb was replaced
