Yeah and the last thing you want to do is announce a refresh that you might not be able to produce anytime soon ... and/or give leverage to the UAW when negotiating.
I'm thinking the delay may have a bit to do with the UAW negotiations and the high possibility of a strike. I think mid September is the date for negotiations.
We have two kids and take the in-laws on trips often enough that we are glad to have an extended length vehicle (we currently have a Navigator L and are going with a GM product sometime after the refreshes). I do wish we could get a diesel GM product in a higher trim with the second row bench as...
Yes, I am hesitant to buy right now ... not because of gas prices but because I think demand will decrease as many tighten their belts. However, that being said ... I don't think we are going to see huge discounts on new cars because of supply issues. I'm not certain that the supply issues is...
I checked w Woodhouse (formerly Huber) and it sounds like I’m still on their waitlist and they are holding to MSRP for people who were on the list before the sale of the dealership.
So now I’m on two lists … one for a Yukon and one for an Escalade.
With the 6.2L likely not available for a while it's gonna be interesting to see what they do. I would love love love to buy a Yukon Denali the exact way I want it right now but I'm kind of waiting for SuperCruise. Then i think about Escalade ESV to get all I want and it's going to be a super...
I feel ya ... I'd really like the exterior of the Yukon XL with the features of the Escalade ESV ... makes me wanna wait until SuperCruise is available on the Yukon at least, but by then I fear I'll have wish I'd waited for the 2024 mid-cycle refresh.
I like the exterior look of the Yukon best...
I am on the list for a Yukon with Sid Dillon ... when I asked about Escalade they said it's about 20 deep on the waitlist. Orders at MSRP. I may inquire at a smaller town dealership.
I was on the list at Huber (bought by Woodhouse) and seems like they lost me off the list ... and they are...
I also have a fear that the diesel won't continue to be offered in the SUVs just due to more emissions requirements or that the tweaked diesel for 2023 pickups and (presumed) 2024 SUVs will not be as efficient, etc.
Damn this is a weird time to be buying a car?
I'm sure I'm not the only one. I've been trying to locate a Duramax Yukon XL the way I'd like it, which as we know is practically impossible. In the meantime, the constraints ... pushback of SuperCruise availability on the Yukon XL for 2023 has had me pondering ordering a 2023 Duramax Escalade...
We are in a recession likely. Will find out soon. My fear is the supply chain won't catch up as car manufacturers are preparing for a slowdown and are enjoying their price control right now. We shall see.
Me too ... I want the Duramax ... maybe worth waiting for the tweaked diesel in 2024 that's finding it's way into the GM pickups for 2023? Or else it'll be further choked by emissions and it'll make sense to buy one before then?
I'm tired of constraints and I want SuperCruise but I'm guessing...
Just some of my observations/perspectives. Sharing in case it helps. I personally like the Denali exterior more than the Chevy but I do like the Premier and RST look on the Chevy well enough. To me the location of the screen isn't a make or break. I do prefer the denali screen location but that...
I was kind of waiting to see for 2023 ... trying to decide between a Denali and Escalade.
I like the Vader Chrome (is all the chrome on it vader chrome or just the grille?) ... and the (late) availability of Super Cruise.
I don't care for the Leather color or the wood look personally. Like the...
Not sure how it's optioned out but the Premier allows for Adaptive Cruise and some other nicer features. I too like the look of the RST best, but I want the options the Premier and up allows for. I'll probably end up in a Yukon Denali and will black out the chrome myself. If I would get an RST...
i don't anticipate that screen EVER coming to the GMC ... my guess is they want to keep that exclusive to the Escalade. When I look an Escalade as similarly equipped as possible the difference is still $20,000 or so minimum. Load up an Escalade and load up a Yukon Denali and it's closer to...
Wiating for Denali allocation myself. Could be a while. In all honesty it just makes me want to pull my order and just wait till 2023 model year goes into production. If I'd end up pushing the 2022 / 2023 model year break, I'd prefer just to ensure I'm getting the 2023.
I'm undecided on which white to go with in my situation. I currently drive a 2020 Lincoln Navigator L and did a FULL chrome delete (black vinyl wrap over chrome) with black rims on the Pristine White exterior color. It's a metallic white much like the Tri Coat on the Yukon I believe. I keep...
