Just know if the transmission or engine has not been replaced then you will have to replace soon. The engine is at the end of its life and the transmission is overdue. You are going to need 6-10k each. Sell it and get one with low miles and ask your dealer to get you a warranty power train contract.
If it’s working then leave it. You don’t want to remove it and something else break. Sometimes aftermarket is better than OEM. I have 112k on my 2018 Escalade and my original condenser has not failed yet.
I was thinking the same but I am really being honest. The DuraLast brand is a great brand. I had great success with the front upper/lower control arms from the Duralast Gold as well as the rear sway-bar end-links. The lifetime warranty is also great. When you are ready for control arms take a...
You can make the top 5 icons your favorite by holding down your item you want and dragging it there. I can access my 360 camera, rear ac controls, navigation, phone and pandora from the top 5 icons I set. The volume you have to drag your finger across. The CUE system is nice once you learn to...
Sorry if I wasn’t clear. I mean oil pressure psi. I am getting 30-32 at hot idle after driving for a hour vs 22-24 psi. The truck is quicker and drives like a new solid truck. My mechanic asked me yesterday if I noticed that the truck is driving faster. Whatever he did was worth me waiting a...
I was going to get the factory Brembo 6 piston brake upgrade from the 2021 and up GM trucks. I didn’t want to do it yet so I got Duralast Gold brake pads instead for the front and back. I am very impressed because my original truck brakes always would overheat the brakes when driving...
I would get the same size battery but AGM specs. I have a AGM battery and it has a great reserve when cleaning my truck. The AGM also lasts way longer too.
I recommend the Duralast AGM platinum from AutoZone which is an excellent battery with a long warranty. The reason why I like this brand is that you can pick it up at any AutoZone in North America if you are away on vacation or not near home you can go to AutoZone and change it out in 15 min and...
I noticed your black trim on the rear step is starting to look dull. I very highly recommend this. I did my side-steps last December and they look nice like new.
Yep and it sucks. I am hoping it doesn’t happen for at least another 200k miles. This happened all in 18 months. I don’t know if it was my fault since I am not the original owner.
I have 109k on my 2018 Escalade Luxury. My lifters failed at 107k again on the driver side. This time #7 twisted in the guide and ruined my camshaft. The first time was at 79k on the passenger side. My mechanic replaced my camshaft and both sides of my lifters. The truck is more responsive and...
Seems like the lifter business has been good for many mechanics since 2014. My driver-side failed 10/22 at 79k and I took my truck to Cadillac because I just moved to Houston and did not know a mechanic here yet. I was quoted $7000 to change the passenger lifters and fix a seepage oil pan seal...
I have the 2022 but you can get the 2023 installed into your module from whites automotive & media services for $50. They don’t even have the 2024 for the current gen.
I am speaking for Escalade. I had the 2008 for 14 years and now I have a 2018 which I owned for 2 1/2 years now. The 2018 has the 10-speed which gets 20-30% better mpg. The digital cluster is amazing and could be configured. I love all the USB ports, HD radio, Bluetooth audio, CUE, CarPlay, 4g...
My driver side afm lifter #7 started making a strange sound at 107k. I did the passenger side lifters at 79k 18 months ago. This time the lifter twisted and ruined my camshaft. I had to change all my lifters and camshaft. My mechanic did such a great job for $4500. The mechanic did not get my...
Heck yeah! I have a 2018 Escalade with the 10-speed which is 30-40% better gas then the previous generation. Check the cabin air filter. The 8-speed had issues so you may want to check into that too.
