Selling price opinions - premium for major service?

Yeah, probably just going to keep it for a while. The Firebird I sold on BAT didn't bring quite as much as I was hoping for, so not really enough to roll into a K2XX purchase in conjunction with selling this one. Oh well. Start saving up for the trade in a few years.

Brake bleeding - need sanity check

Final update: Got new caliper (confirming orientation in the store). Said F it and got new replacements for the other two I didn't already replace. Took off the caliper that was in the incorrect orientation and found that it actually had a completely stuck piston. This was a brand new...

Brake bleeding - need sanity check

Yes, can confidently say both are on top. Not offended at all, tidbits like that are the point of this thread. EDIT- For posterity's sake and so I can remind myself to be humble, you made me second guess. I know I ASKED for the Drivers Side caliper for both front and rear, but did I get the...

Brake bleeding - need sanity check

Thanks for the support y'all. I've been working on cars for more than 20 years and I can honestly say this is the toughest non-fabrication problem I've had on a vehicle. This is for sure the most modern vehicle I've worked on, and my lack of experience with abs systems and OBD2 shows. Two...

Brake bleeding - need sanity check

Tuesday night update. Bench bled the new mc (poorly, I might do it again with an actual bleed kit) installed. Pressure bled first, then abs utilizing the closed bleeder method first. Then pressure bled again. No pedal. Tried the open bleeder abs bleed method, then pressure bled again. Now I have...

Brake bleeding - need sanity check

Thanks for the help! Yeah, normally I would always do farthest from MC to closest but was following the instructions on the Innova 5610. Whenever I do the pressure bleed I always start from farthest away. Ok, so MC first. Total PITA but what the hell. I'll try anything at this point.

Brake bleeding - need sanity check

Also worth noting that after all that bleeding I have 0 pedal. Like, I had to use the parking brake to keep from hitting the back of my garage when parking it. It's worse now than when i had just replaced the calipers.

Brake bleeding - need sanity check

Hey all, Need your sage advice. 09 Yukon SLT 4wd. Yesterday I noticed drivers front caliper was stuck and rotor was HOT. Ok, no problem. $100 and new caliper later I figured I'd be fine. Swapped the new caliper in, used a pressure bleeder, no brakes. Hmm. I remember when doing the brakes the...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Or just stay stock ride height. What a PITA.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Maybe that's the issue I was reading about, that if you DONT cut the studs then you get interference problems. 4WD.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The only thing that puts me off of the spindles is the inability to run 18s. Did you also consider the offset control arms?

Towing - Air Lift Bags or Shocks

Funny enough, you can fill these things easily with a bike pump. There just isnt that much volume/pressure. I wanted the onboard pump too but couldn't justify the cost/complication/failure points when a frame mounted bike pump was sitting in my basement.

Does the Strut trick keep your Geometry? Why did you end up changing to the spindles vs the strut?

Selling price opinions - premium for major service?

So, from what I am hearing the cost of the maintenance items does not factor into this at all, rather you'd ask for a discount over a dead stock truck without any of the above maintenance completed? I'm not exactly sure what the takeaway is here. I of course have record of all of the purchases...

Selling price opinions - premium for major service?

I guess that makes sense, but you should be able to tell shade tree work from actual competent mechanics from a pretty cursory inspection. I'm not ASE certified, but have been building cars for most of my life. I use the proper torque values, locking compounds, and the right tools for the job...

Selling price opinions - premium for major service?

No, you aren't. I 100% wont get the money back. This isn't really about - HOW CAN I MAKE A PROFIT. More like, how can I mitigate losses and what is a reasonable offer? Prices are all over the place and looking for others who know the NNBS market better than I. Also important to note, I've done...

    EXHAUST SETUP!

Whereas I love it. Totally personal preference. I don't get a fun toy (that I can keep) so having a nice aggressive-ish sounding truck is a plus for me.

Selling price opinions - premium for major service?

Hi all, Looking for some feedback from the forum. Thinking about selling my '09 Yukon SLT, 5.3 LMG, Selectable 4WD, 6L80E, Bench with 3rd row, Bose, 139k. Wife wants the K2XX generation. Specifically, wondering what kind of premium people will pay for the truck based on the high value services...
