I am running the 40k Trans Cooler on the driver's side that I had to scab up some random metal stock from the Big Orange Box Store.
The pusher fan is on the passenger side on a manual switch inside that is set up in the center...
My '02 is about to roll over 270k. I bought it 6 years ago with 199k. Still one of the most reliable cars in my driveway.
Call me old and cantakerous -- I kind of prefer the lack of modern amenities. My '02 isn't overly spec'd out, so there isn't much to go wrong.

Installed TruCool 40k with PT Bracket Kit.
Ended up moving everything over as far to the Driver's Side as possible so that I could install a pusher fan for the front of my condenser on the passenger side. With an electric transmission temperature gauge, I haven't seen temperatures go over 160...
With the hot start to the Summer here in Florida, I am dying.
Even with E-Fans, and Installing an additional 12" pusher fan on the front of the condenser, I am sweating through my pantaloons at idle in traffic.
Had a similar experience -- Kept getting a low coolant message and noticing that the overflow would need to be topped off every week or so. Could not find any obvious leaks around hoses or the engine, and the overflow itself was dry.
Last attempt was replacing the water pump, and it turned out...
