    Diesel Question

Having come from a 6.2 to the Duramax, there is definitely a difference with passing on the highway. I had to pass a slower moving vehicle on a two lane highway and the timing to pass was longer than I had anticipated, putting myself in an uncomfortable position with the oncoming car (yes, I...

Duramax rattle/vibration when accelerating, sounds like it's coming from exterior

Well, it only has 1,500 miles on it, so I hope that's not the case. I probably should have clarified that. 2024 Yukon Denali w/1,500 miles.

Duramax rattle/vibration when accelerating, sounds like it's coming from exterior

I've got a vibration that's associated with the engine that I only hear when accelerating at low speeds and certain low engine RPMs. It sounds like it's coming from the right side of the vehicle, either underneath or at the back of the engine compartment. Today I also started to hear it under...

    2024 Duramax/Air suspension malfunction?

The problem was traced to a suspension controller module in the front suspension. It was allowing the air in the front shocks to escape back to the reservoir tank, according to the dealer. The air wasn't leaking out of the shocks. Once they replaced the module, no more issues. Our driveway...

    Buyer Beware - Don't Buy a Yukon

I have the 3.0 Duramax in my 24 Yukon, and from all of the research I've done, people are for the most part really happy with it. The fuel mileage is far superior to the 5.3 or 6.2.

Looks awesome! @extremetint , yours too!

    Buyer Beware - Don't Buy a Yukon

These vehicles are major profit centers for General Motors. It continues to amaze me how many corners have been cut in manufacturing in favor of cost cutting, which benefits the shareholder but hurts the customer. As for the dealers, those that I have had experience with are stuck in the ages...

Main Bearing Failure with 6.2L at 3,200 miles

Couldn't agree more, and this is exactly why I wanted the Duramax when I bought my 24. The 6.2 is such a sweet engine and sounds amazing. I really hope they get these issues resolved with the mid cycle refresh next year. It's starting to remind me of the HT4100 debacle in early to mid 80s...

    2024 Duramax/Air suspension malfunction?

That's a good question, and honestly, I'm not sure. I would hope that they would have recalibrated, however it wouldn't surprise me at all if they didn't. I'm going to keep an eye on it and if I keep noticing different heights at the wheels, then I will take it back in.

    Head Rest screen removal?

I actually like the rearview mirror, however having the camera placed at the back top edge of the vehicle (versus at the back of the cab on my Sierra HD, with the bed behind it) does distort the image, especially when you are stopped and there is someone behind you. BTW, I love the Submariner...

    2024 diesel allocation?

Wow, that sounds like a nightmare! I probably would have done the same thing. I can't stand it when a dealer commits to something and then doesn't stand behind it. You're probably continuing to scour the internet, but it seems that inventory levels are starting to go up. Here in the...

    Z71 ventilated seats

I can't speak to the 2024 models, however I had a fairly loaded 22 Tahoe Z71 and it did not have the ventilated seats, nor did it have a heads up display or rear view camera (all options I would have liked to have had). Hopefully they will adjust the option packages with the 2025 models.

    2024 Duramax/Air suspension malfunction?

UPDATE #2: The air spring seal kit repair on my front shocks did not solve the problem. According to the service manager, who I had gotten involved at this point, the tech spoke with GM engineering, and it was determined that the only other possible cause would be the air suspension...

Soon to be New Yukon Owner

I purchased the "Premium All Weather Floor Liners" from the GMC Accessories website, and used my GMC Rewards Points. I also purchased the "Integrated Cargo Liner". So far, I've been pretty happy with them. I previously had the non-premium version on my 2022 Tahoe. The cargo liner uses...

    2023 Suburban - Interior Alarm/Siren Sound

Could it have something to do with the parking sensors or rear approaching side traffic sensor? That's the only sound I've ever heard coming from the interior speakers.

    Head Rest screen removal?

I agree with you @Ct Pirate . I was pretty much convinced that I was going to remove them before I bought my Yukon, but now I doubt that I will. I hardly ever have anyone in the back seat, and am not really concerned about the slightly affected view forward of those passengers when I do. That...

    2024 Duramax/Air suspension malfunction?

I had it flat bedded into the dealer today. They now have the parts to repair it, hopefully. One thing I noticed starting this past weekend is that it would not raise when I started the engine, like it did before. Instead, it took 3 to 5 minutes of idling before it would start to raise...

    Hard wire radar detector.

@VPVETTE , do you have a link for that harness? And how did you remove the plastic center piece? I agree with @KMeloney ...I'm afraid I would break mine removing it.

Super Cruise - No Road Information?

I agree with @mplunk and @tjs3922 . For long stretches on the highway, it's useful. For short trips, I never use it. I had a Tesla a few years back that had full self driving, and hardly ever used it (though I never took it on any long trips). The only thing that annoys me is that to get it...

Do you use your rear-view mirror in camera-mode?

I use it in both my Sierra HD and the Yukon. I prefer it in the truck, though, as in the Yukon it's placed at the back of the vehicle, and if there is a vehicle behind me (like at a stop light), it gives me no perspective of how close they are to me. On the truck, it's placed at the back of...

2024 Denali Ultimate - Air Suspension

This is definitely normal with the air suspension, and happens regularly. My wife's Audi does the same thing.

odd (regen?) smell first 15 minutes of driving

The dealer tech stated that they didn't smell anything, and said that there were still decals on the exhaust that were probably burning off, since I have such low miles (I've only had the vehicle for about 5 weeks). I've smelled diesel exhaust since getting it back, and agree that it has to be...

    Denali vs. Ultimate

I have the Denali with the Reserve Package, which is basically a fully loaded Denali. I also have a 2024 Sierra HD Denali Ultimate. The interiors on all Denali Ultimates (Yukon, Sierra, Sierra HD) are basically the same: Alpine Umber interior with top grade leather, black "alcantara"...
