Due to cost efficiency I swapped my rear end from an 06 Tahoe that was parted out. After all was said done we test drove the vehicle only to realize the gearing ratio is different. Whine from rear. Rear end or driveshaft?
My 2008 GMC Yukon has a noticeable whine coming from the rear, under acceleration at highway speeds. I cant tell if it is a rear end problem or a driveshaft u-joint. Any suggestions on what to check?
