Hi from Minnesota!

I have a black 01 LT and want to make the whole front-end black. I have the black Z71 grille and a black '05-06 air dam extension (fits under the front valance).

Unfortunately, the stock front valance is molded in a gray colored plastic. I've thought about trying to paint it, but am afraid that the paint will not stick.

I saw a black one on a friend's '02 Tahoe and he told me that he got it from GM but had to order a part number for a model that they sell in Mexico... Anybody heard of this?

Any recommendations on how to make it black and stay black?

Thanks,
Warren L.

If you are painting it yourself get some plastic promoter. It'll help the paint stick. Also make sure you prep it really good. Then if you are worried about rock chips but on that 3M clear bra stuff.

having someone paint it is probably the same price as having a new one ordered. i wanted to do the bottom valance on my blue truck in my sig, but i didn't because of rock chips and only did the top cap blue along with the bowtie and sport mirrors.
