I'd assume they use the same exact part(s) for the starter and related components for each model?

The other day, I went to get into my Suburban to find that it wasn't even trying to fire, and I've chased it down to what I believe to be my starter. I'd like to do the job myself (if I can get it out, for some reason it does not want to come).

Now, looking around online, I have actually found a few Tahoe starters to be a bit cheaper than Suburban starters, for whatever reason. Would you guys suggest finding one of these cheaper starters online and order from there, or head to O'reilly's online store (or even my local NAPA) for parts?

I did a search and cross referenced the starters from a suburban and tahoe and they both take the same starter.

i have no experience with o`reillys but i almost always buy replacement starters at napa and never got a bad one.

I`d stay away from the cheap online starters. If they break shipping them back for a warranty (if they have one) means down time for your truck.

Same starter. 5.3L or 6.0L starters are all the same whether out of a 1500 sierra pickup or a suburban.
