Hey all, I have an 01 yukon that I cannot get a remote to program to to save my life.
Theres a viper esp 600 alarm on it (on it when I got it) that I ordered a remote for too. The remote for that will only lock, it will not unlock.
I've disconnected the viper and tried programming the factory remotes. I have 2 from eBay and 1 Dorman from autozone..... $70 for that one..... None of them will program. I've changed batteries even tho they're brand new. The viper even has an led so I can see it light up when I press the buttons.
I have a spare passenger door module that I tried swapping in, didn't work. I heard there's a programming sequence for that? If that's not the issue, is there another keyless entry module somewhere I can test? The radio in it is aftermarket if that makes a difference.
I do not have a door key for it yet, the ignition is aftermarket. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
