Bought the vehicle about a year ago and haven't driven it much as it's a tow vehicle. Been trying to fix things up on it. Had a piece of the steering carriage replaced (part escapes me) and that solved the front end noise when going over potholes/speedbumps. Bought some new tires as well.

Question is how do you know if you need new shocks? My guy said mine were fine. But I can't help but notice when driving on bad roads I feel nearly everything.

'02 Tahoe with 140,000+ miles. Stock everything pretty much.

What shocks are on there? No way the originals are still good.

How can I tell if they're original?

What shocks would you guys recommend for good affordable highway usage?
